Chapter 7

Cat's P.O.V

Dawn walked off to talk on the phone. I wonder who it was...

"Can I go battle Cheren first?" White whines and looks at everyone pleadingly. Being used to this, I just wave my hand and cross my arms. She is so immature.. tsk tsk tsk. She squeals and dashes off into the gym.

I glance over at Dawn as she falls to the ground. Red creeping up on her face to further prove her embarrassment. I giggle and cover my mouth.

"You guys want to watch her battle?" Blue asks and scratches the back of his neck. Red and I nod and we all walk into the gym after White. Dawn catches up to us.

"So Cat..." Red begins and I snap out of my stare and face him only to find both of them looking at me.

"What?"

"Your friend seems kind of immature. How are you not like her?" He jokes and pushes my shoulder lightly. Blue scoffs, smiles then crosses his arms.

"Guys don't be so mean. She hasn't seen the world yet." I smile and push him back. We find our way up in the view area and watch as the battle comes to an end.

"Lillipup, use tackle!" Cheren screamed across the battle field. The dog type pokemon sped towards White's Snivy and hit it right in its stomach.

"Oh no Snivy! Are you okay?" White asked her injured pokemon. It released a little sound and stood up proudly.

White smiled in relief, "Okay Snivy, use vine whip!" She commanded. Snivy produced two vines and they extended across the area to the lillipup. they whipped the lillipup upside the head and the poor dog fainted.

"Good job lillipup!" Cheren returned lillipup and began to walk across the floor towards White. I guess that was his last pokemon.

White cheered and returned Snivy. When Cheren reached her he took out a small badge. "This is for you for beating me. This is your first gym badge, The Basic Badge." She took it and thanked him.

I stood up from where I was sitting and yelled, "Way to go White!" She turned to my voice, noticed me and waved her hands. She smiled and dashed towards us. Cheren followed slowly behind.

"Look guys! I Got my first gym badge ever!" She exclaimed and giddy hug-jumped me thing.

"Look guys, I just got beat like 10 times. So can you come back in like a half- hour so I can rest a bit before we have our battles?" Cheren asked.

We felt obliged to say sure so we shuffled out the door.

"So what do you guys want to do for a half hour?" Dawn asks us.

"Let's go get some food im starved!" Blue exclaims and the two of them race towards a café.

"Hey guys wait for me!" White yells and dashes after them leaving Red and me.

"Our friends are weird." Red laughs and I laugh with him. We slowly follow our weird friends to a café and Red's xtranceiver rings.

"How the hell do you answer this thing?" He presses random buttons until the call is answered while im laughing at him.

"Hey Red! Did you guys all get your gym badges yet?" Leaf was on the other end with 2 guys and a girl with her.

"No Cheren needed a break." He said.

"Oh well we just got to Floccessy Town and were heading over to this cool ranch! I really recommend going there when your done in Aspertia Town." The xtranceiver is shifted over to a boy with black hair and a gold hat.

"Hey Red! There is a-" He stops when he notices me. "Red who is this gorgeous girl you are with? Hello, m'lady my name is Gold!" I laugh at him.

"My name is Cat." He whistles on the other end.
