Summary (More like a small explaining chapter):
Annabeth, Lexi, Susan, Charles, Jacob, and Ethan sat in a circle, talking at random. It was any ordinary day. A week after winter break, on a Saturday. The wind rustled and flew around outside, making anyone out there shiver. The temperature was still low, not changing much.
Lexi brought up the idea for truth or dare. She winked in Ethan's direction. Ethan blushed. Everyone knew Ethan had a massive crush on Annabeth, besides Annabeth.
Everyone agreed happily. Since Lexi had the idea, she went first. She pretended pondering on who to ask and what. She turned to Annabeth.
"Truth or dare?"
Annabeth knew not to trust Lexi's dares, since they all practically make you kiss someone.
She chose the wise choice, "Truth."
Lexi smiled. "Who is your best friend? Explain, too."
Everyone leaned forward in anticipation. Annabeth shot them glares, clearing meaning, stop being idiots. They obliged, and leaned back to their original places.
"Percy," she said with finality. Everyone's jaws dropped. No one knew who the heck Percy was, so they waited. "He is the best friend you could have. He's brave, too. He might be clueless, but he knows how to lighten the mood. He's modest. He knows me better than I know myself. It's really annoying, actually." She scrunched up her nose.
Out of nowhere, the front door opened. Everyone jumped out of their seats. Annabeth's dad and stepmom came into the room, looking at the kids with bright smiles. When they looked at Annabeth, her stepmom said, "You have a guest at the door." She looked amused, while Annabeth looked confused.
Annabeth told the others to wait while she answered it. It was taking pretty long, and everyone, besides her parents, were about to charge out there when a voice called out, "Percy! Put me down!"
AN/ Okay, I know, total cliff hanger. It's just a summary/very short chapter thing. As you all know, this takes place, at the start, after The Titan's Curse. The looks will be explained in the book. Percy doesn't know about Ethan in TBOTL yet. It's going to be funny seeing how Percy reacts to mortal Ethan. *snickers* I don't mind hate, construction or otherwise. There will be mist. OH OH, the beginning of TBOTL will be different, since Percy is at San Fran. (That's a spoiler) I'll explain it later, once it comes up. This is a week after Titan's Curse. Or two? I'll go with two. Okay, hope ya'll enjoy! This is inspired by secret.writer who made 'Their Mortal Friends,' on Fanfiction.net. The picture is hilarious. Also, the truth Lexi will ask will be different.
