It's the middle of August and we are starting up school (basically prison) again. This year I'm a freshman along with my best friend Matthew, but everyone calls him Matt. Our school, Crawford High, is pretty packed. We get new kids practically every year, and not just one. This year I think we are getting two. A brother and sister from some town called Bloody Springs, Mississippi. Trust me it's an actual town. I Googled it.
*1st Period - English*
I sat down in a seat that will most likely be where I will sit for the rest of the year, and I notice Matt sit to my right. Suddenly, A high pitched DING roars through the room. As I reach for my textbooks, two students silently glide into the classroom. I see Matt jump a little at the sight of them and I quietly laugh. My new English teacher, Mrs. Armstrong, began to introduce the two as Bane and Raven Priscoe. They both had pitch black hair, were extremely pale, and very skinny. Those creepy names definitely suited them. The girl, Raven, was about a foot shorter than her brother. I watched as they silently glided down the rows of desks. I marveled at how quiet they were. Out of nowhere a book tumbled to the ground with a THUD. I turned to see a sketchbook on the ground. I was intrigued by what I saw. Monsters of every breed. Every hybrid known to man, and even some I hadn't even heard of (yes I'm a huge paranormal fan. Anything with monsters, ghosts, poltergeists, ect. Sue me). Swiftly and silently Bane turned around and picked up his sketchbook. Then took his seat in the back of the class along with his sister, but not without giving me a red eyed glare.
"Creepy," I thought to myself, "I could've sworn his eyes were brown."
Then Mrs. Armstrong resumed teaching the class.
*Hallway*
Matt trotted by my side as we walked out of the classroom, "Did you see his eyes?!"
Nervously, I nodded... Honestly I was still in shock.
"Dude, he's freakin creepy! Let's stay away from him..."
"Sure," I opened my locker and exchanged my English book for my algebra textbook.
"Don't you dare! Sam, I know what your thinking. Do not go anywhere near them!"
"Something like this can't just be left alone!"
"Yes, yes it can."
"Ugh..." I shut my locker with a satisfying slam, "You can't stop me, Matt," I said with a wide grin.
"(Sigh) I know..."
*Back At Home*
At the end of the school day (which felt like 12 straight hours of torchure), I walked into a house smelling like cake (mom likes to bake).
"Mom, I'm home!"
"HI there, honey."
I glance into the kitchen and see her frosting over 100 cupcakes.I ask, "What are all the cupcakes for, mom??"
"Oh, they're for your sister's wedding."
"Her wedding?!! I didn't even know she was engaged!"
"I knew I forgot something."
I just smiled as I walked up to my room. I laughed to myself after I thought "Who would even want to marry Margret??".
My sister, Margret, is a librarian, she is boring as hell, and loves aquaponics (basically how fish crap can help grow plants).
I looked around my room. Lights hung around the room and band posters littered the walls. My favorite (a tie between two) is a MCR (my chemical romance) poster and SWS (sleeping with sirens) poster. Even though I have many, many more.
