"Hands up!"  A voice told us. We have been running for hours. They have been chasing us down one by one just because we want to choose who we love. Boom.
Shots are being fire. Dead bodies of our loved ones are falling. All we can do is watch. I want it to be over. Help us!

"Omg. My necklace glowed when I was talking to Alex! He's my soul-mate now!" One of the girls said.

"Liar! Mine glowed when he gave me paper!" Another one said.

"Girls, Adalyn has him. We don't want to make her mad."

"Whatever." Watching these annoying girls is boring. But, if it's the only entertainment, then I'll take it.

"Aaron!" I looked up to see Alex. He looked mad. Alex is my secret boyfriend. We say we're best friends to keep us from being executed by the government. The government doesn't support gay people like us.

"What happened?" Probably traded a good Pokemon card for a bad one by accident.

"I traded my holo Blastoise for a fucking japanese Ninetales. Now I only have Team Rocket's Blastoise, which is what I was supposed to trade with!" Yup, I was correct. (I don't know anything about Pokemon cards. I just googled worst Pokemon trades 😂)

"Well, I don't know anything about that, so I'm going to assume it was a bad trade." I replied a little disappointed he still plays with Pokemon cards. I mean, we're in 7th grade already!

"Whatever..." He mumbled as he sat next to me. He's so cute when he's mad!!!

"Y'know. Those girl have been talking about you. They said their necklaces glows when they are around you." I said with a bit of anger in my voice.

"Well, that's gross. If the government liked gays, mine would glow for you." I chuckled at that statement.

"Yeah, yeah. We both know I'm too sexy." I said with a wink.

"Alex!" A voice said. Adalyn. Adalyn is, apparently, Alex's soul-mate. Rumors have been spreading that both their necklaces glowed within each other's presence. It was a rumor. So, I chose not to believe it.

"Fuck." I heard him say under his breath. "I was trying to get away from her."

"Good luck!" I whispered. He just rolled his eyes.

"C'mon babe! Let's get lunch together. You're always running away." She said with a pout. Urgh. Only I can call him that. She thinks she's better than all the girls because of Alex. She's just using him.

"Sorry, babe, but I'm going to eat with my boy, Aaron." I like how he said 'babe' with disgust. ;)

"Then, I'll join you!" She said skipping to our table. Uh, how 'bout no.

She sat next to Alex while he shifted uncomfortably. He gave me a help look, and I returned it with a smirk. I just remembered something. Remember that Twix bar in 3rd grade. Don't think I forgot. Though, I do hate how she's all over him.

"Twix." I said with a wider smirk. He gave me a scowl that turned into a smirk.

"Hey, Adalyn." Oh, no. Please don't.

"Hm?" She turned around and he kissed her. I stood up. He broke the kiss, and Adalyn had a tomato face. I gave a glare at Alex.

"Sorry." He mouthed. I just sat down and stared out the window.

"Aaron. I have literally told you sorry 100 times. Do you need 101?"

"Yes. And a kiss." He rolled his eyes and gave a quick peck to make sure no one sees.

"I'm sorry."

"Forgiven." I smiled.

I unlocked the door to my house and walked in.

"Welcome home, sweetie." My mom said setting plates on the table. "You're home early."

"There was no traffic today." I set my bags down, and took out my phone to text Alex.

"Did your necklace glow for anyone?" She said laughing a little.

"No." I said with a sigh.

"There's always tomorrow!" She said winking. I laughed at what Alex said. Also forced it to make it sound like I'm laughing at what she said.

"Where's dad?" I asked.

"Still at work. He usually comes before you come home, so he might not come until 5."

"Ok"
