The front door bursts open slamming itself into the wall behind.
"I'm here!" A familiar loud voice echoed throughout the house.
Football and lacrosse star, ladies man, Liam Cage. Yep, that's right the older brother of Kathleen Cage and if you were wondering that's me....unfortunately. Liam and I are polar opposites he's good looking, I'm not. He's a jock, I'm not. He's skinny, I'm not. He's popular, I'm not and Liam's adored by our family, I'm not. The only thing we share is the dark blond hair and the blue eyes. Me trying to tell you how much my family despises me would be too difficult because they despise me a lot. That's why I hate it when Liam comes to town, the family all sit around the table talking about how successful and perfect he is.
You see my parents are divorced, they divorced when I was at the mere age of three, they have been at each other throats my whole life, not being able to agree on anything. My mother's family are the ones who don't like me, it all stems from my dad when my parents were married it was messy and I mean really messy. So my mother's family hated my dad and I'm just like him in their eyes as much as I try I'm not up to their standards.
Every time Liam comes home my mother's family makes a big fuss over it, making sure the day he comes home everyone is over for dinner or we go out and I hate it. I mean I have the coolest older brother ever, I wouldn't ever change that I am related to him, but I wish I didn't have to spend my whole life living in his shadow.
