"I'm Hunter, I never got your name? The last time I saw you, you were in a bit of a rush." He said sticking out his big hand. I lifted up my hand to shake his but he grabs my hand pulling it up to his lips and he kissing my knuckles. I giggle at his actions, not actually pulling my hand away.

"I'm Kathleen. I thought chivalry was dead."

"Oh, it is. But I thought I would try impress and pretty lady like yourself." I blushed a deep red, it's not often I get compliments.

"So why is a pretty girl like you sitting alone?" I blush again at his comment. At this point, I'll admit I look like a tomato.

"Needed to escape," I said. He just simply nodded, and for that I am pleased. I don't like it when people pry, but I have a feeling if he asked I would confide in him. Nobody has really bothered to take an interest in my life before, including my best friend.

"So what brings a handsome lad like yourself here," I said mocking him.

"Same as you, escaping." He said quietly. After that, no one attempted to speak. We just sat there comfortably gazing at the beautiful sight in front of us.

We sat in silence for a good hour before anyone spoke. And it was me who spoke first.

"It's beautiful here isn't it?" I said so quietly it was more of a whisper. Hunter didn't say anything, he just nodded and looked out over the lake. I quickly remembered about school and looked down at my watch.

"Shit!" I stand quickly.

"I'm going to be so late for school." How could I be so stupid when I ran out of Liam's car I went in the opposite direction of my school and now I'm left stuck with a 45-minute walk and only 5 minutes to walk it in.

"Well I could walk with you and we could be both late or we could do what I planned today and skip." I just stared at him.

"Come on I'll make it worth your while." I sat back down just giving up. And a big grin spreads across Hunter's face.

"We are going to have so much fun!" Hunter takes my hand and drags me along. I have a feeling today is going to be a good day.

After hunter dragged me off he took me to a cafe nearby. He orders two hot chocolates, one for him and done for me.

We sat and talked for an hour or two. Nothing about it was awkward or uncomfortable. He did most of the talking but I was ok with that, I liked to listen. He told me he was 17, like myself and he attended the same high school as me, Mansfield High. He has 4 siblings and older sister Amelia who's 24, a 19-year-old brother, Derek. A 10-year-old brother Alex and a little sister Susie who's 5. He said he's from a wealthy family, his mother and father are both doctors, who work a lot. But he assured me that they weren't the typical parents like that. They still cared and loved him and his siblings and they made sure if one parent was at work or away on business the other parent was at home with the kids. I smiled at that. He told me about his favourite childhood memories. Spending his summers when he was younger, on his family yacht, swimming, fishing, and exploring. I then told him about my love for sailing. He got the check shortly after, I instead I pay but he refused. He grabbed my handed and pulled me from the cafe and led me to a car and got in.
