Two: A Friend

Ursula woke up in the right side of the bed and she didn't have to search for a reason because upon seeing her Lukas- well she claimed it to be hers- a smile instantly plastered on her face. "Good day My Lukas!" She swim to her window and observe the reef. After short while she head back to where her Lukas is placed. "The reef is looking pretty today. Looks like the whole ocean is calm. What do you think My Lukas?"
A faint smile appeared on her face as she realize that the man will never respond to her. She swim back to him and place her hand on his face while looking at him intently. "You are the real life definition of perfect Lukas. I just hope you'll be able to talk to me. I just hope you're alive. But if that ever happen, guess I can't stay with you for long. You simply can't live with me here; under the sea. You made me feel that somehow, I am not alone. That I-- a witch mermaid-- deserve to have a friend I can lean on. You made me see things in brighter way now. As you can see I cleaned thia place because of you. It's screaming neat and tidy now. And maybe... I should stop making potions. I should stop tricking mermaids and mermans. What do you think Lukas?" She let out a sigh then hugged the statue tight enough to feel Lukas' response. She tried to be a good mermaid and stopped making potions until one day... a mermaid named Rachel came to visit her. Rachel is a mermaid also known for being wicked. And knowing Rachel, if she found out about the human she's hiding, she'll do everything just to dispose it. Rachel have so much anger towards the human beings for she herself experienced some dark days with the humans. So Ursula decided to hide Lukas somewhere in her room that Rachel will never come in.
She wanted to protect her Lukas for anything that will ruin him. Because for the first time in her life... she experienced having a friend.
