Dyre’s POV
The flames flickered up toward the sky. People were all around, sitting in groups, friends chatting with each other, and people bellowing songs loudly for the world to hear. I really had no interest being here, but the atmosphere was cheerful, and slowly but surely I allowed it to put a grin on my face.
My eyes roamed the area, almost predatorily so. As I expected they would, my eyes constantly came back to glance where Gabriele was sitting with a couple of friends.
Ashley was one of them.
I was extremely tempted to go over there, and kick his ass, but though the urge was strong, I really couldn’t be arsed to go over to them. I continued looking around, listening halfheartedly to Theo as he spoke nonstop in my ear. He had been interesting earlier, but now I was just bored.
It annoyed me that my eyes kept returning back to Gabriele. I scowled and was about to turn away again, when I saw Ashley put his arm around MY MAN.
I growled.
I was severely pissed that my brother was there, laughing with him, while I was here, sitting with Theo talking to him as if I cared.
I didn’t.
My long black hair fell across my face as I leaned forward, hiding the disgust on my face. I had no more patience for Theo, and I turned to him, and surprised myself at the calm and polite tone that came out of my mouth as I stood up, ready to beat the shit out of my stupid brother.
“I gotta go, mate, sorry.”
He shrugged, and got up too, following me. I ignored him and went to stand where Gabriele was sitting with Ashley and Ciel. I paused as I heard them talking, my eyebrow twitching slightly.
“—ten minutes then we’ll go.” Ciel murmured softly
“I guess that makes sense,” Gabriele replied, his voice laced with worry.
“What’s going on?” I interrupted the both of them, smiling slightly as Gabriele grinned uncertainly.
“My brother went with a guy Rayan Xavier to find Lucas, and he still hasn’t returned.”
I nodded at him, wondering how I could help.
“It’s been over an hour already, and Gio isn’t answering his phone, and I’m…” He stopped, his breath hitching in his throat. “I’m terrified something bad happened to him.”
I held my hand out to him, and he took it, as I yanked him upward. He fell into my arms and I wrapped them around him. “We can go and find him now, if you like?” He nodded into my neck, and I snapped my fingers together, taking order.
If you are joining the search party, stand in a line behind Gabriele.
It irked me slightly that everyone that had been at the table earlier playing the question game lined up. It was like a fucking girl clique. I said nothing though, and we all made our way away from the campfire. It wasn’t like I was enjoying it anyway, but I would still miss the beer.
Nobody spoke, and the dull silence felt ominous to me, but again, I didn’t comment. I guess it wasn’t like a girl clique after all, girls wouldn’t stop fucking talking.
We had reached the spot where the bunkhouses started, when suddenly, a pretty girl, with short chin length dark brown hair, a lip ring, blue and purple highlights, and a thin, pointy chin came over to me. Her eyes were practically sparkling with mischief as she walked up to me, and without warning stood on her tiptoes and kissed my nose.
