Sneaking along the edge of the wall as to remain unnoticed, she made her way through the garden. Towards the centre of the garden, she came upon a clearing were a boy with ear length blond hair sat in the grass, reading a book, peacefully. He looked up to see the approaching girl and smiled, warmly.
"Amelia," he greeted, patting the spot beside him "Come. I'm sure you're eager to discuss our book."
"There's hardly much to talk about the Frabjous Day that we don't already know," she chuckled, sitting down.
"Actually," he countered, flipping open the book for both of them "You may want to look at this." Both of them stared down at the picture and saw a single person slaying the Jabberwocky.
"Is that..." Amelia blinked "A girl? How vile. That must have taken a lot of gut."
"It was destiny," he elaborated "And more than that... It was your mother."
"What?!" she demanded, aghast.
"Yes," he nodded "It surprised me too. I remember them having a brave champion who did slay the dragon but they never mentioned the name of the champion, let alone it was the Mad Hatter's wife... Ha!"
"Is there something wrong with my father?" she demanded, angrily.
"Oh! Not like that, Amelia!" he insisted, urgently "There's nothing wrong with your family! It's actually very interesting."
"I better get going before Chessur can rat out where I have been," she stated, getting to her feet "Good day, Prince Cajole."
"Wait a minute, Amel-" he groped to stand and stop her.
"What in do you two think you're doing?" a voice interrupted, making the two turn.
"Dammit," Cajole grumbled. There, in all her glory, was the White queen. Her eyes were narrowed and she did not look happy.
"Amelia. Does your father know you're here?" she demanded.
"Well... Not exactly," she mumbled.
"That's what I thought," she scowled, taking both the children by the ear and dragging them away "Come along then."
