My eyes are cold, opening to the cellar of which I was last in. My mother grasping me in my arms screaming,
"Wake up! Wake up!"
"Where's Anna?" I finally ask, well my brain still tries to organize the new information. It makes sense. My father is warning me. He is the birds.
"Anna is safe, don't worry about her."
"Mom, what's going on? Why is this happening now?"
"Their time is up," she says, shaking, looking outside. She looks brittle and weak, nothing like my warm, loving mother.
"Who?"
"I'm sorry, Lucy. You're going to have to figure this out on your own, because I think my time is up."
"What?" I scream, "Are you, what?"
"I'm so sorry, I wanted to start over again, but your mother, your father, they're gone, they've been gone for while now."
"How long?" I scream, "How long?"
She disintegrated into thin air. All thats left is a note saying 'Beatrice Welmick'.
My mothers name was Carol.
This is all happening too fast. But I don't weep about my gone mother, I act, so I won't be gone like her.
I ran out of the safety of the cellar, into my bedroom, and as I run to find Anna, I see the note from earlier yesterday morning sitting on my bed.
"Someone is watching you-" It reads, "B".
Beatrice.
