I'll Find You, You Find Me

Chapter 1

Kito stumbled through the underbrush, her thick fur clinging to the branches and brambles. She scratched at a stubborn Thorn that had tangled up in her neck fur. She looked at the forest around her and decided she would hunt for herself. After catching a plump looking vole and an equally fat looking mouse, she quietly enjoyed her meal in the shelter of a large oak. Feeling quite full she followed a path used by many other cats. Not paying any attention to her surroundings, she padded into the territory of a large group of cats. Kito, in spite of herself, bristled. She shook off the feeling and continued on her way. Her limbs began to feel heavy and she decided to rest a bit. She found a nice patch of ferns to rest. She fell asleep almost instantly.

She woke up in a starry glade. Surrounded by several starry cats. One of them stepped forward. She was a strong blue-gray female, speckled with stars. Kito backed away nervousley. The blue she-cat chuckled. "Do not fear me dear Kito". "H-How do you know my n-name?", Kito stuttered. The starry she-cat was joined by a ruffled older she-cat. The older she-cat grumbled at the sight of Kito. A Russet Tom stepped up to the other side of the blue she-cat. He smiled kindly and turned his head to the blue she-cat. She began to speak again. "We have chosen you to bring our message to the medicine cat of Thunderclan. Please heed our word and swiftly carry this message." The older she-cat began to speak as well. "Twin moons, Stars to counter each.", the older she-cat stopped and the Russet warrior began. "When the stars and moon collide, darkness will reign." Then the blue she-cat began again. "Find yourself and find another, to bring the light back again." Kito shivered after the last word was spoken. The three cats before her seemed so majestic and powerful even the older one. She had to carry on there message, she didn't know where this feeling had come from, but she felt it in her heart and soul now. "I will carry out your message", she said strongly. The three cats nodded and slowly faded away. Kito awoke and jumped out of her temporary nest. She padded down the path she had earlier and followed it until the sun set.
