Hello, and welcome to the 2016 Wattpad Yearbook!
The Wattpad Yearbook will be a yearbook to go over the best fanfictions of the year, to give a special mention to the most supportive readers, to point out with author is most likely to kill off the love interest in their story, and many other things. We decided to make a yearbook to showcase these things because for some of us, the Wattys just doesn't do it.
We want the Wattpad Yearbook to be entirely user-based, meaning who wins what will be up to you, the readers!
Soon, when the categories are released, it will be up to all the authors and readers out there to decide who wins. Just comment on the chapter or message us telling us who or what you want to nominate! If the person has already been nominated, it counts as a vote.
That's right, it's up to a vote. That being said, if you've been nominated, we suggest you tell your readers so they can come over here and vote for you or your stories!
The voting will be split into two rounds. The first round is open to any nominations or votes. We could have ten nominations or one hundred, there is no limit in the first round.
In the second round, however, nominations are closed. We select the three to five most voted for books/authors/readers and put them in round two, where you can only vote, not nominate.
There are, however, a few rules to this, like there are to everything.
RULES
1: Do not nominate the same person more than once. If you've already nominated them, great! But don't continue to spam us with nominations of the same person for the same thing. We have no problem with you nominating the same person for different categories, but if we receive several nominations from once person about the same book/author, the nomination will be deleted. If you nominate someone/something for something they were already nominated for by another person, however, your nomination will be counted as a vote.
2: If you want to nominate something/someone, make sure they have been active during 2016. If the book has not been updated in 2016 or the user hasn't published or done anything on the account since 2016, they are not eligible for the 2016 Wattpad Yearbook.
3: Do not try and down-vote someone else's nomination. While I doubt this is a problem we'll have, do not say that someone else's nomination is incorrect and shouldn't be nominated. If you notice that a nomination is in the incorrect category, either politely correct them or let us know.
4: If you want to nominate yourself, we're fine with that, but only nominate yourself for one category. Any more nominations than that must be done by someone else (and getting onto a different account doesn't count).
The rules and information on this page may change at some point, so make sure to check up regularly on this chapter!
Remember, however, that there are no prizes for winning aside from being featured in the 2016 Wattpad Yearbook.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, go ahead and message us or comment down below. If you need us to explain anything again, don't hesitate to ask!
Until next time...
I apologize for the earlier version of this chapter. Wattpad glitched and deleted everything I had typed after I saved.
