I woke up and quickly glanced around the pale room. White walls, green blanket, scratchy sheets...Definitely a hospital.
That's sad when you are completely sure of where you are.
I silently told myself to shut up and took a moment to look around again, this wasn't a normal hospital. It seemed more permanent, more official. I tried to grasp the thought of where I was but couldn't grasp it. I knew, but my brain wasn't helping me. My door creaked open, and a woman with green scrubs came in.
" Aspen, do you know where you are?"
"It's a hospital, but other than that, not exactly."
"Well, you're in River Valley. Do you remember anything?-"
I stopped listening, I couldn't breathe, my mind was racing, it just kept repeating was she said.
You're in River Valley...
Oh no. No. No. No. I can't be here, I'm not crazy. I joke with my friends about this place. The Valley, that's what us on the outside call it. I rode by this place on my way to school, I knew the outside, but never the inside. I didn't deserve to be here, I was smart, I was good...
I was sane. Or was I?
I began to hear screaming over my mental rant-
"ASPEN. ASPEN. ASPEN! SHE'S HAVING A PANIC ATTACK, HOLD HER DOWN-"
I felt something stab into my arm, it didn't hurt...my body just acknowledged it happened.
"IT'S OKAY, IT'S OKAY."
I felt the world slowed down. Her words slurred and blended together, it seemed as if she was speaking tongues. The darkness was sliding over my eyes, and before I could tell her I was fine, my eyes slid shut. Before my conciousness slipped away completely, and in it's last few moments I heard
"It's okay, Aspen. Sleep now. God knows you deserve it."

This book is going to be mostly about a love story, but also from my experiences during my stay at the mental hospital in my town.
I may even include some of the letters I wrote while I was in there, If you guys want.
I may take longer to upload because this is hard for me.
I hope you enjoy
