Ashley sat down at the small Diner and looked around dfor Derek. He had texted about a half hour ago and washed her to meet him. Molly, a girl that always worked with her mom came over and asked for her order. She ordered a coffee. When she saw Derek come in the door she smiled and her heart warmed. He spotted her and came and sat down.
He took her hand in his. "Ashley, hows it going?"
"Much better since your here." She responded.
"Look. I like you like a lot. But this isn't working out."
"Wait.. what? What isn't working out?"
"This. Between us. Us isn't working."
"Wait are you breaking up with me?"
"Look it's not you. It's me. Okay wait never mind it is you. You and your family. It's to stressful on me. I can't handle the stress."
"What stress?" She asked in shock as tears rolled down her face.
"Understand okay? I'll See you later."
When Ashley arrived home she ran upstairs with her three sisters who sat in Megs room.
"What in the world is wrong?" Meg asked as she cleared a spot on the bed.
Ashley curled up next to her sister and cried. When she finally stopped she looked up to see Jenny's sad eyes.
"Derek dumped me." She mumbled.
"He what?" Meg asked.
"He-he dumped me."
"Oh what a jerk. Ash your such jewel you deserve way better then him. He wasn't worthy of your beauty." Jenny said as she joined their group hug.
"I'm not a jewel. Well at least not to guys. They all hate me."
"Guess this is the perfect time to tell you that Joseph asked me to marry him."
"What? Oh Meg that's wonderful!" Jenny said.
"I told him no."
"Oh Meg, Oh Ash!" Jenny said as she held me and my sister as we cried until there were no tears left.
Jenny stroked our heads and put on a Heartland episode because it always made Meg laugh and that's what she needed right now.
"You know, I find it weird that Jenny hasn't had a boyfriend yet." Meg said.
I thought about it... Yeah a middle schooler. No boyfriend. That's definitely not normal.
"I was thinking the same thing."
"Hey, I don't attract guys like you two. You guys are like honey attracting the bees."
"You do too. You liar." Meg said as she hit Jenny with a pillow.
My cell rang and I looked at the caller ID, Melanie. "Hey guys I've got to take this." I said as I walked do it of Megs room to answer the phone.
"It's all over social media!" Melanie screeched right when I picked up the phone.
"What is?"
"Hey Andrew go back to that site."
Did she just say Andrew?
"Head dancer Ashley Hills crushs Derek Alex's heart when she breaks the new about their relationship not working because he wasn't good enough for her popularity."
"Is that what it says?" I asked shocked that Derek would lie that much.
"Every word."
I hung up and quickly logged onto my laptop.
