Chapter Two

"Char, I said I'm sorry-" I cut off Harry's fifteenth apology.

"I said drop it Harry!" We're sitting on the edge of a curb. After Harry decided to blow up our aunt, he took my hand and -with me resisting- lead me outside, then forcing me to run until we came to wherever this is. According to my very intelligent brother, we simply have to wait the night out and then try to reach the Leaky Cauldron and find a room to sleep in.

"You know, I really am sorry." I try to resist the temptation to push him into the road, but 'unfortunately', I can't.

"What the bloody hell was that for?" He asks as if he doesn't already know. Rolling my eyes, I reach out a hand to help him up. However, before he has a chance to take it, we hear a voice.

"Welcome to the Night Bus, my name is Stan Shunpike and I will be your conductor for this evening- what you doin' on the ground for?" He notices Harry on the road.

"I fell over," he says. I make a mental note to thank him for not ratting me out.

"Well what'd you fall over for?"

"I didn't do it on purpose." I try not to laugh at Harry's defensive voice.

"Well come on then!" We reach out for our trunks, but Stan cuts us off.

"No no, I'll get these, you get inside." Shrugging, I move past Harry and into the train. Inside lies rows of beds, some of them occupied by sleeping passengers. Stan is talking to Harry and laughing at something he said.

"Did you hear that, Earnie? The Leaky Cauldron, that's in London!"

"Take it away, it's going to be a bumpy ride!" A voice calls back in a Jamaican accent. The bus lurches forward suddenly, throwing Harry and I back and causing us to crash into the side of the vehicle. We only seem to be in the bus for a minute or two before we arrive at the Leaky Cauldron. We get off the bus eagerly, and step inside the run down pub. We didn't expect to see the Minister of Magic looking down at us.

"Harry, my boy!"
