Keeping Your Memory Alive

On the far side of the room lay your pile of clothes. The last touch they felt was yours. I can't get myself to part with it. It's all I have left of you. So it stays in it's corner. Every day every minute, my heart screams for you. It aches for some physical connection with your life. So I found myself wearing your clothing. Your dark blue flannel hugs my body like you used to. Your smell lingers on your clothes and with every move I make, it clings onto my skin. Itching to get in and make me feel your love. Make me remember your love for me is still there and it always will be.
