I walked, slowly away from the crowd standing behind me. I couldn't believe him. Why would he hurt my best friend? I looked back, suprised to see my best friend running away from the circle as fast as he could. I took a long look at him. His eye had begun to swell and his lip was split and bleeding and he had red marks around his wrists.
"Collin!" I stopped walking, "are you okay?" He ran into a tight embrace, as tears slowly fell down my face.
"I'm fine, beautiful," was all he said, pulling my head to his shoulder. We just stood there holding eachother for what seemed like forever.
"Collin, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault," I said, sad again. I pulled my head away from his shoulder, looking into his dark, beautiful eyes.
"It's okay. Things like this happen when you're in love," he said, cheeks showing a slight hue of pink.
"What do you mean?" I asked, heart pounding.
"You'll find out soon enough," he said, gently letting her go before kissing her forehead and walking away.
She turned to walk away and ran into something tall and big.
"Going somewhere?"
"Yeah. Home," She said, walking around him.
He caught her arm, kissing her passionately, but she didn't return it. Not after what he did to Collin.
"Daniel, we're over," She said, before walking away.
"Love you too, Luna!" he yelled before slumping to the ground, devastated.
As soon as she turned the corner she started running, afraid of Daniel and what he could do. One of the best wrestlers in the school is probably not the best person to piss off. As she ran, tears slowly ran down her face, bluring her vision as it began to rain. She ran by one of her friends houses.
"Luna! LUNA! Come back," her friend Jessa called.
She stopped, turned around and started walking back towards Jessa's voice. When she got to the porch, a warm fluffy towel was placed around her cold shoulders and Jessa's caring arms were wrapped around her.
"Come sit. We'll have a slumber party. And we'll eat ice cream and junk food."
I nodded.
We walked to the back of the house where her room is. I've always loved her bedroom. It's walls are black with little diy paper cup lanterns handing around the room. She has this beautiful slide lamp in the corner by her desk. And the walls are covered in posters and music and photography. Her bed has black beding that contrasts her bright mint green hair. She walked to her bed, cleaning it off of her homework and camera and laptop, lifting the covers, pulling a duffle bag from underneath the darkness under her bed. She tossed the bag to me, opening the door to her personal bathroom. We planned for days like this. Where we just dropped everything because we needed eachother. Forget best friends, we were sisters. I walked into the bathroom, taking a hot shower before changing into my warm fluffy pajamas and slippers. When I walked out of the bathroom, three girls sat in a
circle on the floor of Jessa's room.
I took a step forward, looking at each of the girls. Jessa sat by her radio and laptop, Ariana sat on her left and Stephanie sat on Jessa's right.
"How did you all get here so fast?" Jessa was asking them.
"We were already in my car and you know we keep clothes in each car," Ariana said, turning around for the first time.
"Luna!" Stephanie yelled, running over and throwing her arms around my neck. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," I said, hugging her back, "I'm fine."
