Derek was tall, towering over me. His eyes, electric blue, seemed to be able to stare into your soul, finding your darkest secrets. He knew way too much about people.
I shivered.
"Is there something wrong with him?" Stephanie asked, confused.
"Not exactly. I just won't ever date him."
"Well yeah, he's in a coma because he saved Ariana's unsorry little arse," Jessa laughed.
"So...is girls night over?" Stephanie asked, staring at Roman.
Roman was average height, only about 5'8". He always looked slightly uncomfortable around taller guys.
I smiled.
My brother was --is awesome. And I know that he'll never dump my best friend.
"Nah. Roman's cool. He can stay and gossip," I said, winking at him.
"You know it, gurl," he said in a high, squeaky voice.
Jessa giggled.
"Can I invite Carlos?"
"Sure. No sex...anyone," Jessa said to Stephanie, laughing as she slid down her door to a sitting position on the floor.
Stephanie pulled out her phone, texting Carlos to come over to our "girls night".
"Are you going to invite Daniel, Luna?"
"We broke up."
"Oh, I'm sorry," he said, wrapping his arms around me. This was one thing I loved about Roman. He would just drop everything to help or protect his 12 minute younger baby sister.
"I can't believe it!" Stephanie said, looking between Roman and I.
"Can't believe what?"
"That I fell for Roman's joke. You guys are totally twins. You look so alike."
We both laughed.
"It was good, wasn't it?" Roman asked, delighted at his handiwork.
"Yes it was, babe."
"What do you wanna do?" Roman asked us.
"Movie?" Stephanie suggested quietly.
"Sure," Jessa and Roman said in unison.
My phone vibrated on the ground and I dove on the floor to reach it.
I look back at my friends, their expressions showed they were trying not to bust out into hysteric laughter.
Collin.
I answered the phone, getting up and locking myself into the bathroom.
"Hey..." I said, trying to calm my voice.
"Hey."
"What's up?"
"Luna, you're at Jessa's house, right?"
"Um, yeah, stalker?"
"Come out on the porch."
"Why?"
"Just go."
"Okay..." I walked through her house, walking onto the porch.
I looked around and before my eyes millions of twinkly lights lit on the grass infront of me.
They were forming words.
'Luna, will you be mine forever and always?'
Collin emerged from the shadows, walking up the pavement towards me.
"Yes or no?"
"Yes. It will always be yes," I nodded my head, tears streaming down my face.
I ran down the steps, wrapping my arms around his neck.
His strong arms looped around my waist.
Jessa walked onto the porch.
"What?" she read the grass, "oh."
She took a picture and walked back inside.
I smiled, staring into Collin's beautiful brown eyes. I loved this boy from day one when we first met in 2nd grade.
Roman used to be his best friend until my parents cut us off from being around him. My parents will be pissed when they find out--if they find out about Collin.
Collin is my boyfriend.
Collin is my boyfriend.
I can't believe I get o say that--think that.
"I love you, Collin."
"I love you more. I've loved you since the first day we met."
"Me too."
He slid his fingers between mine and we walked up into Jessa's house almost getting hit by Carlos who ran into the house behind us.
"What's wrong?"
"Stephanie said she was hurt!" He yelled over his shoulder.
I laughed.
