After coming back from the practice match the two Kuga's had rushed home. Over the next few days the older of the two hadn't come to school. The younger did though she never stayed after nor did she initiate any social contact with the other students. Instead she isolated herself with a solemn expression. After a few days Nishinoya came back though not officially. After Takeda-sensei found Ukai Keishin to coach though both Asahi Azumane and Nishinoya Yuu came back to the team. Training camp would be starting soon and everyone whose been around the older Kuga started to worry.

When he came back to school with a patch over his eye they all knew they had reason to worry. Though they didn't know what happened and the older Kuga refused to tell them. He even appeared as though he were scared to tell them plus he was a bit jumpy. While they were changing for practice they noticed instead of having a regular shirt on under his uniform he was covered in bandages. Only escalating their worries, Tsukishima even became interested in what had happened to the male though kept it well hidden.

"I'm fine guys, I can still play trust me. I've been in worse states than this." Ren said when asked by Hinata if he could play like that.

Nishinoya watched Ren from the corner of his eye. Asahi was scared of him thing he was some kind of delinquent. Sugawara with his motherly behavior and attitude only wanted to know what happened to his kohai causing worry to etch its way onto his face.

"We have a training camp to do, so lets focus on that and get to it." Daichi said though he was worried about Ren he could tell that at the moment Ren was uncomfortable talking about the bandages.

So for the most part they continued practice like normal. When they split into teams Sugawara tried to get Ren to sit out. Though being the stubborn cat he is refused and even requested to be on the team opposite the ace and libero. What was surprising though was when he said he would play libero but wanted to show that serve he had done awhile before. The coach was about to decline when Hinata interrupted with sparkling eyes making him give in to see this so called perfect serve.

pov Kuga

Thanks to Hinata's enthusiasm the coach allowed me to play and even serve first. Taking the volleyball back to the serving line I looked over the other side of the nets lineup. My eyes locked onto Nishinoya who seemed to notice my gaze. I kept my gaze on him while checking out the rest of the court. Then I threw the ball into the air meeting it up there soon after. My eyes stayed trained on the male as I hit the serve. Before anyone had time to react the ball had already hit the court directly behind Nishinoya.

A backspin on the ball allowed it to fly past his head then come back like a boomerang. Everything was silent as everyone looked with wide eyes as they had gotten a better view of the serve this time. The coaches mouth even hung open in surprise. After a moment Nishinoya's eyes sparkled and I was able to read him from them. Such a cool serve, I want to receive it those types of thoughts were shown in his eyes. Though from experience I know its not so easily done, its hard to tell if the ball will have enough backspin to come back and land in the court or not and I have not perfected it yet.

"WHAT WAS THAT?" The coach yelled after coming back.

"It was a serve" I stated in monotone making some of them look at me in exasperation and others to chuckle quietly to themselves.

Obviously that isn't what he meant by that with a shrug I decided to answer properly, "A friend of mine whose in college taught me, It's his trick but I'm not all that great at it my accuracy is 2/10 while his is a whooping 9/10." under my breath I whispered, "plus my accuracy will diminish with the sight of my eye, it used to be 6/10" .

Kageyama who was closest to me at the time, probably ready to ask me to teach him tilted his head in confusion, "What's wrong with your sight?" he inquired catching the attention of everyone from the unexpected question.

"Can you take off the eye patch so we can see your eye Kuga-san?" the coach asked.

A defeated sigh escaped my lips, "fine" I grumbled as I reached up and removed the eyepatch.

That eye was currently closed but just by looking at it you could tell someone had punched it. When I opened my eye a few of the guys sucked in a breath. Almost all the color had drained and even Hinata could tell there was something wrong with it. It was clouded over for the most part rendering me blind on that side. A small breeze on the side of my face alerted me that someone was waving there hand on my blind side.

"I know that's you Tsukishima. That eye may be blind but I can hear your breathing and feel the slight breeze your hand is making. I suggest you stop now." I scolded the tallest of the first years.

"Eh? What's a blind shorty going to do?" he mocked.

"For starters I could hit your family jewels" I threatened making many faces pale at the thought.

A few of the less intelligent individuals just tilted there head to show their confusion. Kiyoko herself even grimaced slightly towards the thought of the males pain. If the roles were reversed I would to but the kid pissed me off. Before things got further out of hand I turned to face the coach.

"I may be blind in one eye but I've been going blind in that eye for awhile. I have adjusted and can still play. It does not hinder that nor will I allow it or let anyone take pity on me for it." I told the coach confidently.

A hand was getting ready to slap my back. I could feel the movement and quickly moved myself out of the way. Then I saw Nishinoya the one who was about to slap my back. Noticing my defensive stance I relaxed my body. Scratching my head as I looked at the teams libero.

"Sorry I just moved on instinct" I said while scratching the back of my head.

After a bit of confusion and discussion we finally got back to practice. Though my third serve was out of bounds just as I had predicted. Though my work as a libero seemed to greatly impress my team, probably only beacause of my blindness though. Then a thought came to mind, 'I can't wait to see them again' with that though I had a smile on my face.
