Chloe POV
After my first period had forwarded with a flood of questions from Kalani containing on why I was late to class, we found Paige after class at the lunch room.
"You're never late to class Chloe, don't say nothing happened. I KNOW something happened." Kalani continued with her annoying suspicions.
Will she please just shut up?
"I'm gonna go ahead and get in the line, I'll be back" Paige said.
"I'll come with you...coming Chloe?"
Kalani said not satisfied.
"I'm not hungry, I'll wait."
By the time they got to the line, ricky had just past by keeping his eyes on me.
"janitors" he mouthed, reminding me for after school.
Who said you could control your own feelings, huh?
*AFTER KALANI AND PAIGE GET LUNCH*
"So what's been going on with you guys?" Paige said after sitting down.
"Chloe was late today in class" Kalani said.
Of course, Kalani.
"That's weird....you're always in class on time...quite frankly you're always early before the first bell rings."
"It's nothing" I said with a clinched fist under the table.
"That is not true!" uttered Kalani who stabbed her fork right down the tomato in her salad....what's wrong with her?
"Family private" I exchanged. God.
"If it's private you don't really have a right to know that situation Kalani, even I'd like to know but I'm not gonna push her."
"Thank you, Paige!"
But that didn't again fill Kalani, she knew something was up by the expression of her face. She's the one who can tell everything.
She's gonna get down on it, saying
"Fine" isn't how she gets off.
"Fine" (like I said. Sigh.) "I'm not gonna touch that. I'm sorry Chloe, maybe I am too nosy."
"Its okay Kalani, we're good."
Trying to lighten things up for a change.
After 15 more minutes were exchanged of conversations that went to grades from me to Josh from Kalani and to the reply at Kalani saying how gross Josh is at home and trying to talk Kalani out of it from Paige, everyone started leaving the lunchroom and class was in 5 minutes. This is when I was released from being in the same class as Kalani, finally. I don't need to think of what she'll do. I still couldn't stop thinking about Ricky though, the worst relationship is with being with someone who you hate yet want so bad.
Sometimes you could say "I hate you" AND "I love you.
