I heard gunshots rang out and Chance tackled me to the ground protecting me. I managed to grab the money that me and Chance made.
It got worser and Chance throw me over his shoulder and took running. We went through an ally and jumped a fence. We cut through some more allies and cut some conners. Finally we stopped.
"Damn Kay, we made fifty dollars and twenty one cent." Chance said.
"That's it?" I questioned
"Yeah. But it's the city. It's people doin' the same thing we doing. And not only that but a fucking shoot out just popped off. It's enough to last us for tonight and the next morning." Chance explained. I sighed and took a seat on the ground. This wasn't how I planned things.
Chance took a seat next to me. " Aye we goin' get through this and when we famous, we goin' tell errybody our story. I can see it now Miss. Kahlani Parrish and Chance The Rapper. Smile!" I didn't mean to, but I laughed.
"Well let's caught this fucking bus to the rich side." I said. Me and Chance paid and hoped on. Taking a seat, I laid my head on his shoulder.
"Excuse the fucking dog shit outta ya'll, I know ya'll see me right." Chance and I heard a very familiar voice say. Ms. Hatty. " Cuse' me baby boy." She claimed in front of a young boy." And get her checked. Look like a walking STD." She added. Ms. Hatty spoke her mind no matter what.
And she had mouth on her and had a young thing for young boys. She use to flirt with Chance but, she soon saw us as a daughter and son. She tried to get us to live with her but we always decline. Pride is a bitch and Stubborn is her sister.
"No ma, we didn't. Honest." Chance answered.
"Umm." She replied. Before she could speak again the bus stopped at her restaurant and she started mumbling.
"Ya'll make sure ya'll come by house at around 11:00 and- know what, be there fo' them street lights come on. Don't and watch what happen. Bye. Love ya'" She spoke, standing.
"Bye and love you too." Chance and I spoke at the same time.
About an hour or two later we arrived at the rich side of town. Chance and I do this often. Faking to be a Soldier that came from war and got home and came home to nothing. Me and Chance split up and got started.
An hour later......
I was done. I only had one more house. Thank Jesus. I ended up with hundred and twenty-six dollars. Who knows what I might get at this house. As walked up the drive way, ( which was long as hell) I noticed several nice cars and the house was huge and looked well taken care of.
"This gon' be me and Chance one day" I thought to myself
When I got to the door, I braced myself for any questions. Such as where did I go? What branch was I in? Had it all memorized and figured out. No stress or strain.
When I got ready to ring the bell, a guy appeared. And was he sexy..... that was an understatement. He was gourgous.
"Umm Takeoff yo' bitch here'" he yelled.
Hol' up.....did he just call me a bitch? Oh nah see now shit bout to pop off.....
