I had been racking my brain for Pro's and Con's before signing my soul to the devil.
"So I read every-" I got cut off by something shattering and arguing.
"Got damn it....you stay here and think and I'ma handle that, okay baby?" The co-owner said.
"Okay." I swear he had been flirting every since I had came in. Don't get me wrong he was cute and all but, only two things stood in the way.....
1) My last relationship
2) I gotta get myself together before I can even jump into a relationship
I took a look around and was amazed. The office was amazing. Everything matched and coorinated perfectly. There was paintings ( which looked great) and the theme was fitted for men and women.
" Dear Lord, I come to ask you to please guide me. I know Idon't come to you as much as I should but, please. This is my last option. AndIcan't and won't sell drugs. Chance is gone. He just up and disappeared. Please. I can't wait. Time is running out. NOTToRushYOU though. Amen."
"I like you." The guy had came back. I held a shocked expression for a second.
"Cuse' me?" I asked.
Like I said he was cute and all but, it most def caught me by a surprise.

"You a good girl-" I cut him off.
"I'on know bout all that but...." I trailed off.
He laughed, this cute ass laugh and- I mean it, STOP Lani.
"Well even though it's like this for you, you still mange to grind and pray. You uh real one. Unlike these bitches." He grumbled.
I laughed and thanked him. I took a deep breath and picked up the pen, scribbling Kehlani Parrish.
"Key-lonia?" He asked, for justication.
Any other time I woulda raised hell, but it was funny watching him look all confused with wrinkles all in his face.
"No boo, Ku-lawn-e."
"Oh, okay. Hawaiian?" He questioned.
I was shocked. Not everyone knew that- better yet knew how to pronunce it.
"Yep."
"But you don't look Hawian?"
"I know, my moms is though, I think. We ain't that close."
He just nodded and sat back down.
"Alright...you straight. You start tonight and I take 50% most the time but, it depends on what you make. And that's about everything. Oh and don't just think of me as a boss but, as a friend." He said
I busted out laughing. Chris is stupid. But most def the person you wanna be around.
After talking a little more, I left out. Finally I had made it to Walgreens. The sun was setting but, it was still light. I was wasn't scared but, I do miss Chance. I am a girl it's only so much I can do...... but I can handle my own best to believe that.
I got me some snacks and headed to the park. I was sitting on the swing, just thinking about life. Finally something was happening. And it was good.
