Alya's Point of View

"Now don't get me wrong girl, but I feel like Chloe's onto something. I can feel it in me that she's plotting and I'm not even sure what it was that changed her. For all of this year, she's super mean to us, then out of the blue, she 'realizes' that she's a jerk. I just don't trust her. Are you sure we should go with her to the mall? I feel like it could just be a big set-up," I told Marinette.

"Alya, calm down. People change. I'm sure she's just coming to her senses. I don't know why you're getting like this," Marinette shook her head.

"Getting like what?" I asked curiously.

"Jealous," she said with a rude attitude.

"Jealous?" I echoed, stopped walking, then looked at her.

"Why would I be jealous?" I put my hand to my hip, frowning.

"Because you, my friend, are a drama queen," Marinette snapped at me accusingly, turning around.

I gasped, shocked by her sudden outburst.

"Okay, jeez Marinette," I muttered, rolling my eyes and continued walking.

"What? You're not going to call me girl now because I have to baby you with your little sensitive feelings?" Marinette asked sarcastically.

"Excuse me?" I stopped walking again to face her.

"Excuse me?" She mimicked me in a high-pitched voice, using her hand as a mouth to imitate me.

"Okay, what is your problem?!" I became quickly frustrated with her.

"I don't have a problem. You do," Marinette smirked.

"What is happening to you? Where is my best friend?" I threw my hands up in frustration.

"Are you blind?" Marinette remarked rudely.

"Honestly..." I rubbed my temples, becoming fed up with her terrible behavior.

"Is this about Adrien? If that's the case, just please tell me what or who it is. Marinette, girl, I am here for you, but please... Just drop this whole mean girl act," I pleaded, touching her shoulder.

Her eyes widened in surprise and guilt for about a second, but they quickly narrowed and fixated themselves in a hard glare.

"I don't care about Adrien!" she spat angrily.

"Then what is it?!" I begged to know.

I just wanted to know what my best friend was going through, what made her this way.

"You wouldn't understand, Alya!" She yelled at me.

"What do you mean?! I've stood by you no matter what and this is how you take it?" I felt hot tears well up in my eyes as I asked her.

"You wouldn't understand because you are nothing but a little tag-along to Ladybug. You burden her and get in her way! If I were you, I would delete my entire blog," Marinette used whatever she could to verbally hurt me.

I was taken aback for a second, but then anger and frustration boiled through the course of my veins, sending violent burns throughout my entire body system.

"Until you find whatever piece of kindness and emotion you used to have, I won't do this anymore! You are technically bullying me verbally and a true friend wouldn't do that!" I snapped at her angrily.

"Then, I guess Chloe is my new best friend! Too bad you lost the best part of school: our friendship," she shrugged, smirking at me.

Hot tears streamed from my eyes and slipped onto my cheeks. I quickly ran away from her and behind the school. At least from there, I wouldn't have to put up with the next Chloe, aka my former best friend.
