ROSE'S P.O.V. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After my Muggle Studies finals, unquestionably easy, if you ask me, I headed back up to the common room. It should have been empty because the Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration finals were still in progress. I'd been promoted to second year of each of those classes, so I'd gotten those finals out of the way already. Anyways, I was looking forward to having the cozy room all to myself without any cocky, arrogant, and just big-headed older Gryffindors crowding the space and hogging the breathable air. After muttering the password, I clambered through the portrait hole, expecting an empty room, and plopped into the nearest armchair.
"Tired?" a voice from across the room asked. Startled, I jumped in my chair and turned towards the voice. After seeing it was only Albus, I sighed of relief, angry that he would scare me like that.
"What do you want, Albus?" After being scared, I was pretty mad at the bloke.
"Do I have to want something to say hello to my cousin?" Albus smirked. He was too happy.
"What is going on with you? Albus, I know it's something."
"It's complicated."
"Really, Albus, favorite cousin, tell me!" I had a thing about not knowing things. It wasn't a pathological need, exactly...
"I can't, it's weird..." Albus looked really uncomfortable. A normal person would have let him alone, but I was stubborn and kept pursuing the topic. After a long and difficult debate, Albus had held up better than he or anyone else had ever held up against my inquiries. He retreated towards the boys' dormitories, leaving me questioning myself. What could possibly make Albus so uncomfortable? What else has he kept from me? Again, not a pathological need to know everything, just a thirst for the truth. Like those American comic superheros, Superman. What a stupid, unoriginal name. Someone felt lazy in creating names.
I'm finding out what Albus was trying so hard to keep secret whether he likes it or not.
