"Father...." I looked up at him. "What did I do wrong? Why am I to be punished?" I didn't understand.

"If you do not not even know that...." His deep voice echoed in the room. "Then you still have much to learn. And you will, by going to the upper world. Where the humans dwell. No longer will you seek to protect them."

"What could they possibly have done so wrong?" He looked at me disappointed in my apparent ignorance.

"King Lucifer! I apologize for my tardiness." A clumsy servant stumbled in. It was Bellora. She was my friend Alyne's older sister. "How can I repent for my mistake?"

"You will accompany my foolish son to the humans world. You will guide him." My father favored Bellora over Alyne. He thought my friends were childish.

"Y-yes sir." She was scared. That's odd. She wasn't exactly graceful, but she is brave.

We left shortly after. We arrived in a small village. It was Winter. The humans were cold. The snow was falling. I had never seen it before. I was amazed. What could be wrong with a world like this? We stayed at an inn. No one suspected our true nature, because we hid it with our power.

The next day I discovered what my father meant. Bellora's magic faded when she fell asleep. The humans came in for some reason. They saw her as a demon. They dragged her out of the room. I rushed to catch up. They killed her. She was weak. She couldn't protect herself and I was too young to be able to do more than a transformation spell. At the moment, I knew father was right. She did nothing yet she was killed.  I came to realize the magnitude of my abilities as my anger reached a peak. I killed them all without remorse.

I jolted awake. That dream.... What was that? I couldn't get it out of my head. I know I've killed in real life, but a massacre.... I'm not capable of that... Am I...?

"Rai! Someone's here for you!" Eric knocked on the door. I told him I'd be right out. I quickly got dressed. I walked to the entryway of the house.

"Who is it any....?" I looked towards the door and saw Rowena. "Why are you here?"I feel like Denica might be involved here. I suddenly remembered what Eric said and my face heated up. I looked away from here.

"My roommate disappears leaving a cryptic note. What do you think I am going to do? So I asked if Deni 'overheard' your address. And here we are." She said all of this like it was obvious.

"I'm not surprised about the Denica part, but I didn't  think you cared." I'll have to punch my friend for putting weird thoughts in my head.

"Of course I care!" Her face turned red, probably because she realized she was yelling. "You're my friend... kinda."

"Let's not stay in the most crowded part of the house." I guided her to my room. She looked at everything.

"This locks from the outside?" She questioned in disbelief.

"Yeah... that changed after my dad died." It didn't really bother me anymore.

"And do they lock it every night?"

I nodded. "When I was young, they would lock it on the weekends during the day."

"Why? This is your home! It shouldn't be a prison for you!" She was angry. I think she might accidentally burn the house down.

"Uh... Rowena.... You're on fire again." I hoped that would settle her down. It didn't work.

"I don't care! Where is your mother? I'll kill her myself if I have too! This is not the way to raise a child!" She just kept getting angrier.

I grabbed her arm. My hand was getting burnt then healing repetitively, but I didn't care. "Don't. I deserve it. I killed two people. I was young and angry, but that doesn't matter. I'm a murderer. I do not deserve to be happy."

"Then what about me? What do I deserve?" The flames gradually faded.

"What do you mean...?" Is she saying what I think she is?

"Do you remember what I said about my nanny?" I nodded. "Well last year, we were arguing about school. I didn't want to go anymore, but she insisted. She said I had to deal with ridicule anyway, because I was a freak of nature. I got really angry. Angrier than I had ever been. I don't know why, but she was set on fire. That had never happened before. By the time I was able to stop the fire, she was already dead."

"I guess we are the same.... I got angry at strangers for hurting my family so I killed them without hesitation, but when I came to my senses I regretted it." She hugged me. I was not expecting that. Was she crying...? That can't be right... Maybe she's using her power... No. She's sad. "It's alright. We were controlled by our abilities. Don't worry about it. We just can't let it happen again."

"Then let's leave. Right now. I understand why you had to come with that witch of a woman. So, don't let her rule you. Just tell the others. I am sure they will accept us. I will tell them too."

We left. We took her car and drove off. We got to the school and sat in the desks in room 613. I didn't want to go to the dorm. I don't know why. Rowena left to get the others. As soon as they arrived, we told them everything.

It was quiet for a few minutes. I know Denica knew about me, but did she know about Rowena?

"I already knew all that..." All four of them said at the same time. Wait, what? How did they know? And what did they think of us when they found out...? To put it simply, my brain hurts.
