The Blind And Rejected Mate

Today is the worst birthday ever.

Once we arrived at Toms we all decided to skip school. Jasmine called and said she wasn't going to be able to make it. She's in some other pack visiting some of Taylors family.

Tom and Mary are on either side of me trying to cheer me up but nothing is working. Who will ever love me. No one will want a blind ma-.

The door slams open and I'm engulfed in a hug. Snapping out of my thoughts I smell the famialer scent of Jason."He's an idiot." Is all he says as he hugs me. I sigh in content and wrap my arms around his neck. Jason is one of my best friends, I used to have a crush on him but I didn't think he would go for blind. I pull away and fiddle with my fingers thinking about what I'm going to say next.

"Guys, I don't wanna be here anymore." Everything goes quiet, I can feel their eyes on me."What do you meen?" Mary asks."I meen I don't want to be here anymore. The only good things in my life are you guys and Jas. I had hopes for my mate but you can see that went in the shit hole!" I feel a cold hand clasp mine,"But how will you survive?" I shrug my shoulders,"I don't know."

"Well how about I go with you." Jason suggests. I shake my head no. How could I do that him? He's one of my best friends and he has a life. I'm not going to let him give that up."No in sorry Jason. You have a family and a life here I'm not going to let you give that up!" I stand up with a smile on my face."Tonight I'm going to leave and never come back! Don't worry I'll keep in contact with you guys. I'll buy a phone where you can speak to tell it what to do. I'm gonna go start to pack." I turn and walk to the door. Then the most embarrassing thing fucking happens! I walk into a god damn wall!

It's almost time for me to leave I've got 2 small duffel bags full of things I need. Jasmine is taking me to the border and then I'm going to start my new life as a rouge. The car slows down and I now that it's time. I get out and hold my arms out to my sister. She hugs me close. I sniff her hair taking in her scent one last time.

"Goodbye Vi." She whispers in my ear.

"Goodbye Jas." I pull away and grab my things. I smile in her direction and start to walk into the woods. As I walk I hear her car pull away and drive off to the place I used to call home.

It's been about 2 hours since I started walking. I feel like I'm being followed, I swear to the moon goddess that if I die on my birthday it will officially be the worst birthday ever.

I keep my ears open as I walk to try and hear anything. That's when realization hits me I can't hear anything not a chirp of a cricket or the rustle of an animal. I don't like this what if-

Snap. I freeze oh shit. I take off running. I knew it was a stupid idea because 2 seconds later I'm on the floor groaning while holding my nose. Damn trees! Someone grabs me and I struggle. I'm slapping doing whatever I can to get away.

"Stop it! Ow! Stop!" Really he's kidnapping me and telling me to stop.

"I'm here to help Violet!" I stop how the fuck does he know my name."I'm going to put you down and explain ok?" I nod my head and I feel him gently put me down.

"My name is Earl, I'm a warlock. I'm here to help you because of your powers." How the hell does he know about those not even Mary knows."You are the chosen one and I will be one of your generals. You will have one of each creature and once we gather the rest you will lead us against the darkness." I snort at this."How am I supposed to lead you! I'm blind!" "Shit I forgot I'm supposed to heal that." I go quiet he can heal me? I'll finally be able to see? "Here drink this, it will give your sight back." I feel him grab my hand and wrap it around a bottle.
