The Blind And Rejected Mate

"Don't worry my love I will protect you from now on." He said as his lips traced up from neck to my lips. I've been waiting for this moment my whole life! He sounds so beautiful. I feel his breath on my lips and as he leans in to kiss me he whispers,"I love you Viole-"

BEEP!

BEEP!

I slam my hand on the alarm clock and groan. I just had to wake up at the good part! I slid off the bed and feel the usual cold ground. I shiver and walk to the dresser. I grab a shirt and feel the tag. I made sure to make a braille word in the back describing my clothes or my items. I grab a purple shirt and some blue jeans. I walk to my bathroom, I know what your thinking 'how can she tell where things are if she's blind'? Well I've memorized everything in the house. Sometimes people will move things just to mess with me. The only people who help me are my big sister Jasmine and my friends Tom and Mary. Tom and Mary are mates so it gets weird because I have more senses than a normal werewolf due to being blind so I can hear everything...

I can't wait for today. It's my birthday! That's right bitches I'm finally 17! Today I'll find my mate! Maybe he will take me away from this hell hole. The only thing I got goin for me is Jasmine, Tom, and Mary. I walk in shower and turn it on.

As the water runs down my back I think of what my mate will be like. I hope he dosn't reject me because I'm blind!

"Don't worry! Mates are supposed to love you no matter what." My wolf said. Her name is Scarlet. I got stuck with her when I first shifted. From what I'm told my wolf is white but it looks silver in the moon. I have purple eyes to! Freaky right.

I don't answer her back. Instead I just finished washing and got dressed. I grabbed my walking stick and backpack. I don't really use my walking stick unless my wolf senses arn't good enough. Like school or the woods. You should see me in wolf form. People kept on laughing and laughing, it wasn't until my sister saw what was going on did it stop. They have to listen to her she's the betas mate. The only people with authority higher than her are the alphas and her mate Taylor.

I walk down the stairs slowly and enter the dinning room. I sniff the air and smell my family's scent. My mom and dad are both eating and my brother is in kitchen. I sit in my usual spot and slowly eat my breakfest. I hear my mom sigh,"Try not to embarrass us today Violet." Yep that's how it is no 'good morning' no 'happy birthday' just 'try not to embarrass us'. I nod my head and hide behind my hair. My parents are the deltas my brother is going to be the next in line for the position and they think I bring them down to like omega ranking which is totaly untrue.

My hair is really long it go's all the way to my butt. I'm told by Mary I'm relly pretty, but everyone else says I'm as ugly as a cow. From what I'm told I have black hair and white eyes you can guess why. Freckles appearntly cover my face, freckles are these little dots that cover your fave but they're not pimples. Kinda weird but oh well. Tom says I'm relly tan and I have a nice body. He got a slap from Mary when she heard that and misunderstood. It was so funny!

I get up and walk out the door and hear the famialer honk coming from Mary's car. I used the walking stick and head towards her car. I can already hear her music. It's like nature music. It makes since she's not a wolf like me and Tom. She's a fae. Like a fairy I guess. There's the fairies, vampires, werewolf, and witches or warlocks for males. Yeah there's humans but most of them are oblivious to the real world.

Werewolves and vampires have always disliked each other but there are some who are friends. I'm one of those whenever Mary takes me out we usually meet up with our friend Jason, he's a vampire.

She turns down the music as I get in the car."Hey girl! How's my favorite birthday bitch?!"(sorry I had to say that! That's what my friend put in for her birthday on my calender.) I chuckle while shaking my head,"Well I'm pretty good you're the first person to mention my birthday besides from Scarlet." She sighs, she knows how they treat me at home. My brother Mathew abuses me and my parents go for verbal abuse. It's both at school though. The teachers actually encourage it sometimes. Well all except for my music teacher she sticks up for me. She taught me how to play the guitar and encauraged me to keep on singing.

"Well don't worry about them. After school we're going to party for your birthday. Don't forget you get to meet your mate today." I can hear her smile in her voice. I fiddle with my thumbs and ask,"What if he rejects me because I'm blind?" She dosn't answer instead she turns the music down. I feel one of her hands grip mine,"Then he will be an idiot. Don't worry even if he does reject you I'll be here for you. Me, Tom, Jason, and Jasmine. Besides the moon goddess has a plan for you." I smile that's what they all say but then again she did make me blind. It just depends if it's a good plan or a bad plan.

"You're right." I feel the car lurch to a stop. I swallow the lump in my throat and step out of the car and enter hell.
"Well well well if it isn't little ol bb. Blind bitch." Oh look who it the queen of hell, Jessica Marten. Her and Xavier Woods make sure to make my life hell. Where is the king of jerks at today?"Shut up Jessica." Mary says. I hear that nasty cackle of hers, it's like the one from the movies. Jessica is a witch our school is a mix school. Our kings thought it would be good if we had mix schools. Every race has a monarchy blood line."What are you going to do little fae?" She hisses. This isn't good. I can feel everyone's eyes on us. They're hopeing for a fight.

"Mary let's just go." I make a grab for her hand but end up missing. I hear her sigh as Jessica continues her little cackle session. Mary grabs my hand and leads me away from her. I smell the good musty smell of books and know we are nearing the library. The librarian ordered a bunch of braille books just for me. We go there every morning and read. Well she reads I feel. As we enter the library the most amazing scent enters my nose."Mate!" Scarlet howls.

I smile and follow the smell of pine and chocolate. Mary keeps on questioning what I'm doing but I don't care. The smell grows stronger and stronger until I stop in my place as I hear a low growl."Mate." I listen as he walks to me. I hear Mary squelling like a pig in excitement. The smile on my face falls as I hear his next words.

"How can the blind girl be my mate? I need a strong luna! Why moon goddess?" Xavier growls. I'm wondering the same thing. He's been my tormentor for years. But I'm willing to overlook that. I open my mouth but he cuts me off."I Xavier Woods, future Alpha of the Silver Moon pack, reject Violet Parker as future luna and mate of the pack." My heart shatters as he says that, Mary gasps as he says this. I hang my head low,"I accept Xavier Woods rejection." My wolf howls lowly inside of me, she always hoped our mate would accept us.

Tears stream down my face as I hear him walk away. Mary's arms wrap around me as she whispers soothing words. I can't take this anymore maybe I should just leave. The only thing I'd miss is my friends and Jasmine. Besides I probably couldn't survive on my own. Mary leads me away but I'm not paying attention anymore.

"Scarlet?"

"What!" She moans out lowly.

"I'm sorry this is my fault. If I wasn't blind then he wouldn't have rejected us." I admit. She stays quiet for a minute.

"No this isn't your fault, he's a jerk. A mate is supposed to love you for you. Don't worry one day we'll find love and he'll be begging for us." She snarls out the last part.

"Yeah he'll regret it."

I feel Mary set me down in her car."I'm gonna call the others to tell them to meet up at Toms." I nod my head and lean back. Today is officially the worst birthday ever.
