Azmarie sat beside her mom in a bit of awe. She'd been trying to prepare herself for this moment, but there was no reason for her to. She was still very much unprepared for what was about to happen.
Her mom's olive complexion was completely flushed. The nice, natural coke bottle shape that she possessed had disappeared. All the long, luxurious hair she had came out months ago. No one could truthfully say they look like twins anymore.
There were times where her mom felt like she looked like a side show freak. She thought Azmarie was afraid to be around her. At times like that, Azmarie would cup her mom's face in her hands and sprinkle kisses all over it. She was afraid of her mom's circumstances, not her appearance.
"Te amo mami." Tears slipped down her face as she laid her head down beside her mom's.
"Te amo mija." Her voice was so faint that Azhmir wouldn't have been able to hear it if she weren't right by her.
"I'm gonna be all alone mommy." She wiped her tears with the knuckle of her index finger. She didn't want to express herself, but the words freely flowed out her mouth. "I won't have anyone. It was always you and I."
She seen that her mom was on the verge of tears, so she tried to regain a positive mindset. "I love you so much, but I know you are ready for a life of no pain. You've won mama."
"Mija you will be fine baby girl. I love you." Her words were very slow and slurred, but I heard them perfectly. "Stay positive even when it's difficult m-"
Azmarie lifted her head and stared at her mom in horror as she erupted into a coughing fit.
She got up and hurried over to a table to get her mother a glass of water. Her hand was shaky, but she put the glass to her mom's mouth when she got back over to her.
"Mommy please drink."
No response.
"Ma? Please... please drink."
The next time her mom's pale gray eyes came open, they refused to close again.
"No... no... MAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Azmarie threw the glass full force at a wall then she proceeded to have a nervous breakdown.
She dropped to the ground then let out a painful scream. "MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! NOOOOO, COME BACK TO ME. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Azmarie could most likely be heard throughout the whole building. A bunch of nurses came in when she got up and held onto her mom's body for the last time.

Logan sat beside his father's bed. Be dropped his head and shut his eyes for a while.
Looking at his father was a fairly hard task. The small figure laying on the bed was once a strong, healthy man. People used to tell Logan how much he looked like his father all the time. Now, his father was barely even recognizable.
"Wow." Logan chuckled, but he was far from amused. "Life can change in the blink of an eye. Just yesterday you were doing so much better. Up and walking. Now this."
He finally built up the strength to look at his father's steadily convulsing body.
"There's no more need to fight dad." He shook his head with a single tear rolling down his cheek. "Since you were such a great man, I now know that it's my responsibility to take care of the twins. You don't have to worry about them or any of us. We'll never forget you because you'll forever be in our hearts."
He stood up and grabbed one of his father's hands. Tears blurred his vision to the point where he couldn't even see him anymore.
"I love you dad. We all love you. Go on and be free. We understand. It's time for you to go home."
His father still tried to fight, but gave up a few minutes later. Logan let out a sharp exhale as he stared into the eyes of his father for the last time.
