Kim's POV

"Miss Madrigal, seat next to Mr. Lopez." Agad akong umupo sa tabi ni Alvin.

Buti na lang at kakilala ko ang naka-tabi ko. Sa dati kong school, there were only a few people who chose other courses besides Business Administration. Lahat kasi ng mga nag-aaral sa dati kong school, mga babaeng anak ng businessmen at entrepreneurs. Sila ang tagapag-mana kaya't business course ang kinuha nila.

Ah, ako? Tagapag-mana rin ako, ng Accounting Firm, kaya Accountancy ang kinuha ko, kukuha na lang ako ng kaunting units na may kinalaman sa business.

"Uy!" Bati sa'kin ni Alvin. Nakilala ko si Alvin dahil student siya sa All-Boys School sa tapat ng school namin. Nagkaron ng soiree ang mga school namin.

"Accounting, huh?" Ngumiti ako sa kanya.

"I like money, I'm planning to establish a insurance company." He held up both hands while explaining.

"Buti ka pa. Gusto ko na ang manahin ko ay ang Engineering Firm, pero Accounting Firm ang nakuha ko." I rolled my eyes. I know I sound like a brat but building things is my passion!

"I think they know you're bad at drawing." He laughed.

Well at least having someone build things for me IS MY PASSION.

"Where did you learn that? I CAN DRAW!" In denial kong sabi.

"Kimberly, kaunti lang tayo sa Alta Sociedad ng Pilipinas. Usap-usapan na buti na lang sa kuya mo napunta ang Engineering Firm." So ganon yun? Pati drawing skills ko pinag-chismisan ng high society?

Ugh! Actually wala naman akong pakielam, pero parang lumalabas, kaya napunta sa'kin ang Accounting Firm dahil hindi ako magaling mag drawing?! They're not even sure if that's really what happened! So shallow.

Why don't they talk about how great I am because I got into this University?! ALAM KONG HALO ANG SOCIAL STATUSES NG MGA STUDENTS DITO BECAUSE THERE ARE ALSO FINANCIALLY-CHALLENGED PEOPLE NA MATALINO.

I'm smart, I'm not ugly, my family has the money but people still expect me to obey what they expect of me.

"Since this is your first day of being a freshman, you'll only meet professors and will be dismissed. After meeting professors, The Ambassador and Ambassadress of Accountancy will introduce themselves." Nang matapos ang announcement ng employee mula sa Dean's Office. I got my phone out and started playing Carrot Fantasy.

"That game's for kids." Alvin teased beside me.

"Screw everything. Sometimes I wish I wasn't born into a rich family." I said out of nowhere.

"Trust me, you won't like it." Naramdaman kong ngumisi siya kaya't itinigil ko ang nilalaro ko at tinaasan siya ng kilay.

"I mean, Hermes bag? Jimmy Choo school shoes? Rolex watch?! Who goes to school wearing almost half a million? I'm sure you wouldn't like being poor." Umiling siya sa akin.

"Alvin, what do you know about being poor?"

"Nouveau Riche kami. So..." He shrugged. I ignored what he said, kahit na lumaki akong napapaligiran ng mga mata-pobreng tao, I learned good values because of the Catholic Church and the Bible.

Nang na-meet na namin ang mga professors, tumayo ako at nagsimulang i-text ang driver ng magsalita si Alvin sa tabi ko.

"Magpapakilala pa yung Ambassador and Ambassadress." Paalala niya.

"Do I really need to stay?" I whined and sat down again. Makalipas ang isang minuto ay may isang maganda at matangkad na babae ang pumasok sa room at nagpakilala.

"I'm Trisha Tan of Block 2B and will be representing Accountancy in the University Wide's Pageant." Muntik ng tumulo ang laway ng mga classmates kong lalaki but not Alvin, he's happily engaged with the unica hija of the Saavedras.

Pagkatapos niya magpakilala, tinignan ko ang phone ko dahil nag-vibrate ito ngunit nagitla sa mga tili ng mga blockmates ko.

Huh? Why are they screaming?

"Hi, I'm Justin Soriano from 2A and will be representing Accountancy in the upcoming University-Wide Pageant. I hope you vote for the both of us the Pageant's website." Nakaka-halina ang boses niya.Nang tignan ko kung sino ang nasa-harapan, akala ko ay nakakita ako ng Fallen Angel.

I rarely think there are other handsome people in this world aside from my dad and brother but this guy, he's the modern Greek God. Napanganga ako, sana lang walang tumulong laway mula sa bibig ko.
