Chapter 14

Kim's POV

Halos isang linggo na ang nagdaan simula ng nagpunta kami sa resort nila Justin. Sariwang-sariwa pa rin sa'kin ang mga pangyayari doon.

Papunta ako ngayon sa airport para sunduin sila mommy, ang sabi kasi nila eh samahan ko silang mag early dinner after ng classes ko.

Hindi na ako lumabas ng kotse sa paghihintay sa kanila. Isa rin kasi ang mga airports sa hindi ma penetrate ng security namin.

Makalipas ang ilang minuto, bumukas na ang pinto at ang sumalubong sa'kin ang malungkot na mukha ni Mommy.

"Why ma? The trip didn't turn out good?" I kissed Mom's cheek when she settled inside the car. Mom is rarely this down after a business trip.

"I'm sorry anak, Fabian Araneta couldn't make it today or God knows how long. He recently assumed a company responsibility in London." Mom sadly said.

Oh mom, what will I do with you.

But honestly, I'm thankful that I wouldn't meet the Araneta boy. I don't want someone who thinks I'm inferior to him.

I mean c'mon, the Aranetas have half a billion dollars as their networth. We lack by around a hundred million dollars. That makes us below their level.

I can already hear the boy's mother lecturing me about how to be a proper wife and protecting their image. Stress.

"Mom, it's fine. Let's not pressure ourselves." I hugged my mom lightly.

"Quit it, honey. Tell her about it." Dad said in the front seat. The car started moving.

"Well, Kim. Your 18th Birthday is in a month! We need to send out invitations. I'm sorry we forgot to plan." I honestly forget about it as well. No biggie guys.

"Uhm, yeah. What are we gonna do about it?" I cleared my throat. Please don't tell me it's gonna be a grand one.

"We're flying the guests to Spain!" My mom clapped her hands.

SPAIN?! I don't think I heard it right.

"Did you just say Spain?" Napangiwi ako.

"Yes darling! You'll truly be a debutante there! Oh, the mansion of your grandma there would be full of lights." She dreamily said.

"Mom, I don't want to fly to Spain." I said.

"No. That's your official debut to the society. It should be perfect."

Perfect my ass, Mom. You just want to look rich in front of your amigos and amigas.

"I can't do anything about it, can I?" I groaned.

"Well, you can invite guests." Our car stopped in front of our favorite restaurant.

"You want to invite the Sorianos?! Are you out of your mind?" My mom almost choked on her steak. Si Daddy naman ay napainom bigla ng wine.

"Yes, if they're not invited, I'm gonna lock myself up in my room. I'm not even kidding." I brought the fork near my mouth and took a bite of the steak.

"IS THIS YOUR PLOY TO STOP YOUR DEBUT?" My mom narrowed her eyes at me.

No, Ma. I just want to be with Justin.

I remained silent.

"Fine, we'll invite them." Dad began eating again.
