(Suntail's P.O.V.)

Suntail woke up to the screeching and yowlimg of cats. She saw Brackenfoot still asleep beside her.

"Brackenfoot! Wake up! Somethings happening!!" Suntail shook Brackenfoot.

"Huh?" Brackenfoot looked around. "I smell foxes!"

Suntail sniffed the air. "I do too!" Brackenfoot stood up and got ready to run, but then a fox blocked his and Suntail's path.

"Thistle!" Suntail hissed. "What is this?"

"It's a camp raid, what do you think?" Thistle laughed.

Brackenfoot was just staring at the two in awe.

"Why? I thought we were friends!" Suntail snarled.

"You're a cat! I couldn't care less!" And with that, Thistle reached forward and Suntail moved away just as Thistle's jaws closed down. "Stupid cat!"

Suntail leaped onto Thistle's back, digging her claws into Thistle's shoulders in order to hold on, and whispered under her breath, "I'm not in the mood for being called stupid."

She hopped onto Thistle's head, and spun around, then slid down her head raking her claws down Thistles face. Once Suntail's claws raked into Thistles eyes, Thistle screeched and bit down onto Suntail's stomach.

"Brackenfoot! Help!" Suntail yowled.

Brackenfoot plummeted himself into Thistle's shoulder using all his force, and knocked her over. Then he raked her stomach over and over, before Thistle finally let go of Suntail.

"Suntail, are you okay?" Brackenfoot asked, worried.

"Yeah, thank you," she gasped for breath.

"What have you done?!" Thistle cried. She stood up, but looked extremely confused. "I can't see!"

"Serves you right!" Suntail hissed. "Now leave!"

Thistle stumbled out, getting attacked by cats here and there.

Brackenfoot looked at Suntail, eyes wide. "You were speaking to that fox, weren't you?"

Suntail's ears folded back. "Yes. But you can't tell. Apparently it isn't normal, and cats here already hate me and think I'm untrustworthy. I don't need them thinking I'm besties with foxes."

"Okay," Brackenfoot agreed. "But... I don't hate you."

Suntail gazed at him with a grateful look in her eyes. "Thank you."

Suntail left to help fight the other foxes. Apparently Thistle came with one, and two more arrived soon after. But she stopped when she heard Spottedfur.

"Brackenfoot!"

"What, Spottedfur?"

Spottedfur hissed. "Why didn't you let that fox kill her?"

Brackenfoot frowned. "Wouldn't that be wrong? To let a clan mate die?"

"Yeah, normally, but no one wants her here! It's just best if she's dead! For me, for you, for the whole clan!"

"She's not that bad. I don't see the big deal," Brackenfoot frowned.

Spottedfur snarled. "Well next time, let her die. Do you hear?"

Brackenfoot just glared at her, and walked away.  Suntail ran up to a fox and began swiping at it. It tried to bite her, but missed.

"So, what's your name?" Suntail asked, a smirk on her face. She knew the fox wouldn't expect a cat to be able to talk to it.

After using the element of surprise, she leaped at the fox's shoulder in an attempt to knock it down. But as she leaped she felt a searing pain in her stomach after the bite given by Thistle, and collapsed back down to the ground. She barely even scratched the fox.

"Cats," sneered the fox. "Don't they know if they're hurt, to stop fighting?"

Suddenly, Brackenfoot came back out of nowhere, leaping at the fox's neck and scratching it. The fox tried shaking him off, but Brackenfoot just dug his claws in deeper to hold on.

Then the fox swung it's head with all its strength, flinging Brackenfoot into the camp wall. But Brackenfoot didn't go without raking out the fox's neck first, from how tight he was holding on.

The fox screeched in pain, and tried to bite at Suntail. Suntail, still lying on the floor, swiped at the fox's muzzle before he could bite her.

"Foxes," she sneered, mimicking the fox. "Don't they know if they're hurt, to stop fighting?"

The fox snarled at Suntail one last time, then took off out of camp. After that, Suntail could see that was the last fox and they'd all left. But camp was a disaster. Wait, what were the cats crowding around? Suntail pulled herself over to the crowd.

Oh Starclan...

There was a young apprentice, dead. Cats had died because of these foxes!

All because Suntail wanted a friend!

"This is Suntail's fault!" Spottedfur yowled. "She was with one of those foxes yesterday! They planned this!"
