Part Seven: How Could a Pit Block Hurt?

Liv's POV:

"Liv, I want you to partner with Annie. Katie, I want you to partner with Aaliyah today," Coach Mary said.

Did Coach Mary know what was going on? Did she know that Katie was being a bully to me? I thought.

I was okay with that. Annie was actually being nice to me. Katie was being a big pain in the butt. Why? No idea.

"Hey, Liv! I haven't really talked to you yet today," Annie said.

"Well, we've only been here for a couple minutes," I said, laughing.

Annie laughed too.

"Girls, I want you to sit on the floor please. Sit in a straddle and touch your toes to your partner's," Coach Mary announced.

Annie and I sat like Coach Mary told us to. I looked over and saw Katie and Aaliyah laughing really hard about something.

Why is everyone always laughing with Katie? I thought. Arden was the other day, and now Aaliyah too? At least Annie hasn't sided with Katie yet.

"Now I want one of you to pull on your partner's arms until you land on your back or until the person getting pulled says to stop. If you're getting pulled and tell the person pulling you to stop, make sure it's only because of pain," Coach Mary directed.

We were finally done stretching after about thirty minutes. That was one thing I missed about Hill's - we only stretched for about five minutes there.

"Okay, I want the following people to come over to vault with me - we'll be working on yurchenkos," Coach Mary said. 

She named about six people, including Katie, Annie, and I. Great. Katie, of course, had to be with us. Annie and I can never get any alone time.

"Let's go, Liv!" Annie cheered. I was about to do a yurchenko pike onto a mat stack in the pit.

Before running, I looked over at Katie. She gave me a nasty look as I turned back and regained focus.

I began to run. I could feel that I had enough power and that I could definitely land the vault. I was about to flip when I was hit by something on the head and fell to the floor. I had blacked out.
