One day, I was really bored, and was reading some Chinese newspaper, when this one really interesting article came up, and decided to try it on my daughter, who was 4 years.
On the table, I put a dollar note (representing money), a doll (representing fun), and a screwdriver (representing hardship). And then I made my daughter stand in front of the table, and asked her to pick out one from these.
She stared at them for a while, and I patiently waited for her. Then, she looked at me dead in the eye, pushed off everything from the table, stood on top of it, and hugged me very tightly.
I was confused for a while, and then realized.
My daughter had chosen me, from all the items.
