"Radavni? Wait..." Aldia pulled her phone out then showed me a screenshot from our online chat. "You mean..." I just nodded "Yes. That's me. I need your help... Glynda's in trouble," She suddenly looked really scared. "Tell me everything,"
It was then that I broke. I knew this was coming, but the overwhelming sadness and guilt broke the dam. "I was the one who brought you two together... I-I thought I was just going to play matchmaker then go back to my normal job, but I couldn't make love happen... Love... Love is born, not made... But I knew Glynda would suffer that I hadn't found her a lover within 30 days, but I couldn't take it... So I lied to my leader in order to prevent the consequence, but I know it's only a matter of time... Before he finds out..."
"Whoa, whoa. Hold on! You thought you could just magically make me fall in love with some stranger after you introduced us?" I bowed my head in shame. "Well, it worked," "Say what now?" "I admit it. I'm in love with Glynda," My sobs turned to laughs. I actually did it! I then hugged Aldia. I just couldn't help myself. "Can you take me to her?" "No... It'd take at least two hours to get there by car, and I can't drive yet," "My ship, is out of fuel... Son of a monkey..." I slammed my head against the wall. "I guess we have no choice,"
I manipulated Aldia into giving me the nearest set of car keys. I hated doing it, but desperate times call for desperate measures. "What are you-" "Get in!" Aldia climbed into the passenger seat as I turned the engine on. "Han onto your underwear!" I exclaimed as I drove off. Using my phone as a GPS, I dove us to Glynda's house. It took two hours and twelve minutes, but we had made it. "Cmon!"i hopped off and ran to the door, knocking. The door opened by itself.
Aldia and I walked inside. I heard someone coughing and ran to that direction. Glynda was on the floor, coughing blood. A blue rash plagued her arms. There was an envelope next to her. As Aldia rushed to her side, I read the note.
'Domiduca,
I'm afraid you know the consequence for failing to grant a wish. If they cannot be satisfied, they will no longer require anyone's services. And now you must sufferthe consequence for lying to this community, and your father.
Sincerely,
Roger'
Suddenly a blue serum splashed my face. It was quickly absorbed by my skin as a rash quickly spread up my arms. I felt dizzy as I fell to the ground.
