Your POV
I sighed as my partners acted like complete children, again. I appologized to the person that had asked for our help and glared at Ed, who was freaking out cause he was called short, and Al, who was trying to hold him back. Ed caught my eye and instantly shrank back in fear.
"Again, I'm terribly sorry we weren't much help."
"Oh, you're fine. I found my cat because of you. I say you helped plenty." The old woman smiled back at me and disappeared inside her house. I whirled on Ed and Al and gave them the look, no words, just the look. I stalked off in the direction of the train station. They chased after me and tried to apologize.
"Just shut up! I don't want to hear your excuses." I snapped and climbed aboard the train. Ed and Al sat across from me and left me alone for most of the journey back to central. We were going to be late meeting Mustang, because these two couldn't handle not fighting for two seconds.
Okay, so what happened was, we had just been stumped on a lead and this kind old lady asked for help finding her cat. We had twenty minutes before our train was to leave and so we agreed. While we were searching Ed got into a fight with some locals because they called him short and off course he was ticked off. The fight lasted an hour and so we missed our initial train.
"I'm sorry, (Y/n)." Ed stated. I sighed and shook my head.
"How am I supposed to guard you from humonculi if I can't stop you from getting into a fight with six-year-olds?"
"It's not your fault, (Y/n). Ed is the one to blame." Al spoke sweetly.
"Al....." Ed hissed.
"No one's to blame. What happened happened. If Mustang decides to chew me out, then that's his problem." Ed and Al sighed in relief at my passing anger.
~Miniature Time Skip to Arriving at Central~
"You're late." Mustang said simply.
"Hello Colonel." I said, bored, while Ed threw some of his usual insults about. Al just sighed and stayed quiet.
"Did you find your Philosopher's Stone?" The Colonel smirked in his all knowing way and Ed glared at him, about to blow his top.
"Colonel." I warned, but it was too late. Ed blew up and started shouting. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of green outside. I ignored the others and stalked through the halls, hurried through the front door, and crept to the spot where I thought I had spotted a familiar palm tree.
I glance around before heading into the alley way where I saw him disappear. Bad idea. Something hit the back of my head. I whirled around to see what or who it was, but my vision was fading in and out. It was a matter of seconds before I collapsed onto the ground. My eyelids fluttered and finally shut.
Ed's POV
It was only when we were done meeting with the Colonel, did I notice (Y/n)'s absence. I glanced around curiously and then turned to Al.
"Have you seen (Nick/name)?"
"No. She never leaves us alone. I hope she's okay."
"Me too, Al. Me too."
Envy's POV
I dropped the unconscious girl into the chair and tied her wrists behind her back. Shortly, the Elric brothers would find out what happened and come looking for her. In the mean time, she was my hostage. I grinned my evil grin and let out a laugh. This was gonna be fun.
