Chapter 3

"What do you think? I outsmarted you."

"What do you mean?" He smirked a smirk that had my insides turning in doubt. "Oh. Do you mean sending a message to the pipsqueak to come get you? I knew about that." He seemed so confident and cocky that I had to burst out laughing.

"You think I asked him to come save me?"

"Didn't you?" Now it was his turn to be the one doubting.

"No. I told him to stay the hell away from me and focus on his mission. I'm still their bodyguard so I have to protect them. If that means staying with you until I can escape, then so be it."

"You really are stupid aren't you?" He sneered.

"Possibly."

"You'll be dead before you can escape."

~Timeskip three weeks later~

"Envy~!" I said for like the millionth time.

"Oh my god what!?" He snapped.

"I'm bored." 

"Well that's not my problem." It's been three weeks since he told me he'd kill me. I'm still alive and well though. I have no idea what's going through his brain. I have gotten to know him better at least.

"But I'm the prisoner so it is your problem." Suddenly, Envy whipped around and glared at me.

"If I could kill you I would."

"So what's stopping you?" I jeer back at him.

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know!"

"You make me think weird things!"

"What weird things!"

"None of your business!"

"Well maybe if you just told me something I wouldn't pester you as much!"

"Why should I tell you anything!" Envy yelled back.

"Because I care dammit!" I screamed.

"What?" His eyes widened in surprise.

"I care about you. I don't know why, but I do. So, it hurts when you don't tell me things."

"You shouldn't care."

"But, I do."

"Just shut up! You are a stupid little human!"

"You arrogant palm tree!" I stomped over to him and did something I thought I'd never do.
