Moment of truth.
I totally didn't expect that.
I stared at her, wide eyed in shock as my legs stumbled backwards. My mouth fumbled for words to find, but nothing came out. The only thing I let out was a gasp filled with surprise. She like Tsukki? Tsukishima Kei? The guy who picked on me?
"I understand that you like him," I managed to say with many difficulties,"but couldn't you have just told me? Instead of calling me a bitch, you could've just said it!"
Now I was mad. Like come on, what kind of friend lets a guy in between their relationship?
"I'm here for you, and you're here for me, so tell me whenever there's something you feel or want!" I looked at her then gripped her shoulders tightly. "Cuz we're friends! Friends are made so that we can laugh at things together! That totally includes whether you have a crush or not!"
Yachi's eyes widened with sparkles, but as soon as our eyes met, she diverted her gaze to the floor.
"You should've told me." I continued, my voice softening. "Now look at this meaningless fight we have."
Her eyes were moist as she scrunched the hem of her shirt.
"The thing is..." She paused to wipe away her tears."I didn't even know I liked him."
Oh pul-ease. I swallowed back my irritation, and put up a smile to reassure her.
"It's okay. It's all over now, we can talk about how you fell in love with my bully." I half-joked. "Seriously, though, what do you see in him?"
I kept nagging her until she'd tell me. By the time she'd opened up, she was laughing so hard. I laughed along since her laugh was contagious and I really did miss her, during our, oh, so dramatic, fight.
"He," she caught her breath in the middle of one of her hilarious guffaws,"he has this cool vibe, you know? Like kind of badass..."
"Of course," I rolled my eyes, "he's so cool that he picks on me."
"Well he doesn't say and doesn't do unnecessary things," she defended, "which makes him calm and collected."
"But oh, he says many necessary things like how I short I am and how I was copying your homework."
"They're just statements!"
"Totally necessary statements." I retorted.
"Ayaa~ Y/n-chan," she poked my stomach, "stop contradicting what I'm saying..."
"Suuuuureeeee," I smirked, "I just don't get why my aggressor of all people. That guy in our class... Whatshisface, umm... Kou? Yeah him, he's good-looking."
"But he's so lazy, and doesn't really interact with others..."
"Yeah well, Tsukishitma is also lazy."
"He's not lazy," she shook her head rigorously, "he just doesn't give it his all. He does sound dispassionate though..."
"Still, what's so special about him?"
"It just happens." She flicked her fingers on my forehead.
"Ow!" I winced and rubbed my sore spot. "What happens?"
"Love works in mysterious ways..."
I stared at her in disbelief.
"Yachi, how many guys have you fallen in love with?"
"I don't know, many?"
"No wonder you know that much about love."
"How many guys have you fallen in love with Y/n-chan?"
