Chapter 9: Will The Truth Set Me Free?

When Noah fell asleep I went to work,  I made some pasta salad and started baking the chicken parmesan. Everything was prepared... Unfortunately this can't be a romantic experience, this is business. This is important and there can't be no candles and rose petals. That's not how tonight's going to work. They say the truth will set you free, but what if they lock me up? Noah could just be waiting for a confession and right when I do he'll kill me.

As I waited for the chicken to cook I looked around the house. I found the bathroom that Noah took me to after the full moon, this is where he first saw me naked... Covered in blood and throw up. How romantic. I wish my life was more simple, why couldn't I have been born human? Would life be better as a human or worse? I'm 25 and I still act like a 17 year old. My aging really slowed down when I turned 13.

"What are you doing?" I familiar voice said behind me... But it wasn't Noah's.

"Jackson?" I turned around and there he was. His smile was so enchanting.

"I've missed you... I know I'm breaking the Alphas rules but I had to see you," Jackson walked closer taking my hands in his. His touch didn't sooth my pain, it made it worse. I tried to pull my hands away but he wouldn't let me.

"Jackson let me go... You're hurting me,"

"Everything will be okay... As long as you do what I say," he whispered in my ear. I felt a sharp pain in my neck and every part of me became numb. I was paralyzed... What is Jackson doing?

"You'll be with your brother soon Spenc, I just have to take care of something for the Alphas," Jackson said pulling another syringe out of his pocket. Oh god... He's going to kill Noah.

He lifted me up and threw me over his shoulder and walked to our bedroom. I could smell Noah, his heart was calm and at peace.

Noah wake up I thought in my mind, he has to hear me... But he didn't. Jackson put whatever drugs into Noah's system.

"Don't worry Spenc, he isn't dead, this is just a helpful serum that makes people forget... Didn't you use it? On the full moon?" Jackson said as we walked out of the house. What is Jackson making Noah forget? How could Jackson work with the Alphas? What does he get?

"I have to give you another drug, it will put you to sleep, you'll wake up when we get to the base," Jackson whispered in my ear. I felt another sharp pain in my arm and the world got fuzzy.

Noah's pov

I woke up in a daze, I looked beside me and Carrie was gone... I couldn't smell her anywhere on the property.

Start looking for the Luna, she's got missing! I said to everyone in the mind link. She could be in serious trouble. We have two wars on our hands and ether enemy could have gotten to her. I heard a knock on the door and it was Jason.

"Where's Spencer?" He asked.

"She was kidnapped with her brother? Do you don't remember that? That doesn't matter, we need to find Carrie," I said looking in the kitchen, it doesn't look like there was a struggle, and there was a half cooked chicken in the oven. She was making food and then she vanished.

"Noah... Don't you remember... Shit... You forgot. I know what happened," Jason ran out of the house and headed back to the pack house. I shifted into my wolf and ran after him, his wolf was small, but I've seen smaller. He was a grey wolf, strong but he doesn't deserve a title other than the Luna's brother. I watched him run to the Hunters base on my territory and watched him talk to the leader, Spencer's father. I listens carefully as Jason spoke in panic.
