A key. What could this key possibly open??
"I think it's getting late we better get going." Zach said.
"Yeah yeah" I nodded along.
We walked out of the house and Zach said that he forgot something. I offered to walk in with him but he somehow wanted to walk alone.
"Go ahead bro! I'll be back before you know" he said with a smirk.
I nodded and joined the rest of our group.
"Hi guys I'm back. Let's go now" Zach said.
I had this awkward feeling that Zach had something he didn't want to show. But I ignored it and walked through.
We walked for 2 hours when we reached the wheel.
"So how do we get in??" I asked karma
"I don't really know..how about we turn the wheel?" Karma said.
"That sounds like a plan. Let's do it." I said with a smirk
"Ok ok but the wheel is so big.. I need your help." Every nodded. Karma continued "on the count of 3. Ready ...1..2..3 LET'S DO IT!"
We turned the wheel hoping for it to open. It did open. But between the temple and us was a deep pond like something. I am water phobic. When I first tried to swim I almost drowned. My dad was a swimming champion but somehow the traits didn't help.
"Okay so how are we going to get there now??" I asked.
"I'll swim and check out the entrance and if it's clear, I'll givw you a signal to join in..ok?" Barry said.
Everyone nodded. We joined in for a group hug. Barry dived. I saw the expression at Zach's face...just then I remembered that zach had entered the house after I left. I walked upto him and asked "Hey Zach. I think it's time. You should tell me about the thing you found at the house!"
Zach refused first then he saw my frown so he started telling what happened after I left the house.
"Man, I wouldn't prefer to disclose the secret if it weren't for you! So here goes, this Henry Gale was my football coach in my college.. He was the best he always used to carry his lucky football locket with him.. Of my favourite Barclays team Tottenham Hotspur... I always wanted that..I even tried to steal the locket from his locker during swimming sessions, but he always wore it. One day he announced that whoever gets selected as college representative in football will get that locket. I was exceptionally good in football.. But we had our own differences.. But before the finals he had this long speech about having a goal in life.. I didn't figure the speech at that time.. But with the idol and temple.. His speech makes sense..so I just went over his body and took the locket.. But man I saw something strange about his neck..... I mean it was blue.. And his face did not rot like usual dead people.... I mean there was something different about him you know.. I was too afraid to tell... But I really think we might die.." He said lowering his voice. I sensed his sad tone and gave a reassuring feedback.
"Zach it's not necessary! They were just 2 and we've got a team full of experts!! Besides you've got nothing to worry about! You are a great swimmer as well as a runner! You'll be the last one to die among us! Kidding man! I won't let anything happen to you.." I said with a smirk.
"Thanks man. It means a lot to me." He said with his smile.
After that I thought what Scarlett said. Yeah I should tell everybody. They should know. Moreover it's my duty. Yeah! So I walked towards our group and signalled Scarlett to tell everybody together.
Scarlett started " So guys....umm I wanted to tell you that there's a possibility that we might die"
"How could someone possibly say that with a straight face ??" Smith said looking frustrated.
"And how long have you known??" Frances asked.
" Eh.. I don't know about 3 days.." Scarlett said.
"Look guys there's a slight chance that we might not die.. We need to consider that." Karma said to cheer everyone up.
"How exactly would we do that??" Zach asked.
"By crossing that wall separately in groups of 2-3" karma said.
