Hello all! I have decided to step away from my little Stony obsession, and write up a little Avengers AU! Which is still going to be Stony. BUT- PLOT TWIST: It's BrOTP Stony. Even though Stony's not my BrOTP. But still. HETEROSEXUAL FANFICTION *throws glitter* YAAYYY. Okay. Enough of that. It's going to focus mainly on Steve and Tony, and will remain in third person. Oh, I didn't tell you it's a teen AU! Yay AUs. Almost done talking, I swear. It's probably going to be a summer project, and don't expect it to be SUPER long. Ten chapters max. If that. I really want to begin to work on my other fandoms, and by other fandoms I mean Sherlock. And once I catch up Supernatural. So, expect those. Alrighty, I'm done, so here it is! A short excerpt from The Soldier Next Door.

"Now you listen to me, Rogers," Tony's breath was hot as he spoke in Steve's ear. The blond struggled a moment, which only caused the boy holding him to press him harder against the wall, twisting his arm further. "I run this school, and no blond haired, blue eyed pretty boy is going to come in here and change that, got it?"

"You really think I'm pretty?" Steve mocked between clenched teeth. Bad move. Tony grabbed him by the hair, and pulled his neck back, allowing them to look each other in the eye. "I asked you a question, now you better answer me!" The brunet growled. The boy in capture gave a small grunt to show he understood, and Tony released him with a satisfactory smirk.

Steve pressed himself against the wall, trying to process what exactly had just happened. He looked behind him, to see Tony beginning to walk away. He wasn't having that. "You know Stark," the blond began, causing the other man to turn around slowly. "I don't do well with bullies." With that, he crossed the distance between them in two strides, and decked the other boy, causing him to fall to the floor.

Steve stepped on the brunet's ankle, causing him to give a yelp of pain. He proceeded to grab Tony by the collar, and pulled him so close that their noses touched. "I'm not here to take your place Stark," the blond explained, leaning in to whisper in the other's ear. "I'm here to put you in it." He released Tony from the uncomfortable position, and stood, looking over him. "And if you ever, threaten my authority again, I won't hesitate to break you."

Steve glared once more, before stepping over the boy on the ground, and beginning to walk out the door. "You know Rogers, you think you're so different from me, but you're not. We're one in the same." Tony coughed from the floor, spitting out some blood onto the tile.

"I am different from you Stark." The blond looked over his shoulder, eyes cold. "You make threats, I make promises." He smiled as best he could through his bruised jaw and swollen lip, and limped out of the locker room, leaving Tony to pick himself up off the floor.
