((This is from Russia's point of view))

Today, I am cleaning out my closet. It's too bad Latvia couldn't do it, I'll have to punish him later. I look through the dusty old boxes, bored.

"How long has it been since I've been here?" I think aloud. I come across one box in particular that captures my attention. It is small, blue, and has a tiny carved grizzly bear on top. I kneel down next to it and take off the cover.

"Ah?"

Inside there is a small cotton dress and gloves, along with a pair of earmuffs. Where did these come from? I move aside the clothing and buried deeper is a photo album. The binding is worn and the cover is almost falling off. I open it up to find some pictures of me and a strange little girl. Every picture in the album has her in it, some with her and another, older child I recognize as Canada. Why is this mysterious child in this photo book of mine? Why was she with me? I come to the last page, where there is something written in messy, child's hand.

-Brother Russia,

This is my gift to you on your birthday! I hope you

Have the best time ever! I love you so much that the

Universe would exploded if I ever exploded, that's

How much!

Your little sister,

Alaska

"Alaska...?" I wonder. Who is that? Wait... I remember suddenly giving her away to America. She cried for the first time that day. I do not want her to suffer anymore. But why am I only now wanting her safe, after forgetting about her? Oh well, I'll just have to tell America I want her back tomorrow at the world meeting.

I tuck the album in my coat and keep cleaning.
