"Hey, Mia!" Isaac Eardley called while running up next to me. I rolled my eyes knowing that the next thing he said would probably either sexual or stupid.

"Hey," I replied while checking my phone and giving him the least amount of attention humanly possible. He covered my phone with his hand, getting my attention, and causing me to stop walking.

"What, Isaac?" I groaned.

"Guess who gets to spend the next three months together in the same house like a hot steamy porno," he smirked while licking his lips.

"Ew, your parents are letting some whore move into your house?" I said while gagging at the thought.

"Nah, babe. Unless you think of yourself that way," he said while putting his arm around me.

"Excuse me?" I asked, confused at what he had just said. I shoved his arm off of me and shot him a glare.

"You get to stay with my family for the next three months," he smiled. My mouth dropped open in shock before I burst out into laughter.

"What's so funny? I'm serious. My mom told me this morning," he said while looking at me like I'm an idiot.

"Psh yeah ok," I said sarcastically while rolling my eyes.

"Well, I gotta go to practice. See you later. Make sure you pack your hot PJs," he said with a wink before he walked away. Gross. That freak is delusional.

"Hey, Mi," Gabby said while running over to me.

"You will not believe what just happened," I said while laughing.

"Ok but first I gotta ask, are you seriously moving in with the Eardleys?" she asked while looking at me with wide, excited eyes.

"Ok, why does everyone think I am? Isaac literally just came up to me and told me that I am," I said after rolling my eyes.

"Maybe cause he and his two delicious brothers have been bragging about it to everyone," she said as if it was obvious.

Gabby Vitaz, aka my best friend, has an almost unhealthy obsession with the Eardleys. Yes, they are all very attractive but they're just guys and guys are stupid. With them being family friends, I have to deal with their antics on a weekly basis.

"Well I'm sorry to inform you but it's not true," I laughed while playfully bumping into her shoulder.

"Ugh killjoy," she said while rolling her eyes.

"Ready to go to my house?" I asked while pulling out my car keys. She nodded while walking to the front passenger door. I got into the driver's seat and carefully drove Gabby and me to my house while singing along to whatever song that came onto the speakers in my car. I pulled into the driveway and turned off the car before getting out and walking into the house. Gabby followed behind me while checking something on her phone. I opened the door and walked into the kitchen to see my parents each with two huge suitcases.

"What the fuck?" I asked while stopping. Gabby ran into my back.

"Wha-shit," she said while looking at my parents.

"Mia, language," Mom warned.

"Sorry if I'm confused about what the hell is happening," I snapped.

"Honey, calm down. Your dad and I got a call. Remember that start-up clinic in California? They need us over there for three months to help get it off of the ground," she said while pulling me into a hug.

"Am I staying at the Eardleys?" I asked while rudely and abruptly breaking from my mom's arms. They both nodded as I broke into a fit of rage.

"Why the hell did I have to find out from Isaac?" I yelled before dropping my backpack on the ground and running up to my room. I threw myself onto my bed and curled up in a ball.

"Mia?" Gabby called while walking in and sitting on my bed next to me.

"What?" I sniffled while laying my head on her knee.

"It's gonna be alright," she said while rubbing my back.

"This is so like my parents. I'm always the last one to know about everything," I said while shaking my head.

"You're gonna be fine. How often do you see your parents on a day to day basis anyway? Barely ever! I see you more than they see you. You won't be at your own home but you've gotta think about it like an adventure. Plus you get to try someone else's food and raid their kitchen for snacks!" she said while continuing to rub my back.

"Yeah I guess you're right," I said slowly while sitting up.

"Of course I'm right. I know you better than anyone," she smiled, "Now let's get you packed, ya little shit."
