I sit on the couch with a cup of black coffee. Alpha Carl walks in with a slight stumble. "I hurt," he groans before pouring some coffee.
"Good."
His eyes snap to me withen a second. I set the cup on the coffee table. "I let my pack stay for the night. I'm sure you wouldn't have cared."
"Okay? What happened?" He mutters joining me on watching the sun rise.
"Well, you tied me to your bed but you were so out of your mind that you just looped the rope."
He looks at me clearly confused as to what I'm saying. Suddenly his eyes fall to the necklace around my neck. He throws his head back in shame. "Victor?" He squeaks out. I almost laugh before shakimg my head.
"Ghost?"
"Not quite," I mutter before he groans even louder. "And I think I used magic."
"You have magic alright," he mutters. I look over at him with confusion. "Has anyone ever drunk your blood before?"
"No."
"Well, it seems that when blood is drunk by non pack members in small dosages it's like a truth serum with a small high like effect," he explains. I just nod my head even though I'm confused. It's illegal to drink upper rabked blood.
"So?" I ask not following him at all.
"I got drunk off your blood while you went through a power surge," he dumbs down for me. "Archer is still going to kill me once he finds out about last night."
"Yeah, he probably will," I agree before looking at the cup in my hands.
"Why doesn't anyone know?"
"The pack does but-"
"I know about the part of you drinking his blood,"he says with a small chuckle. I take a sip of my now lukewarm coffee.
"And I'm a runt. I'm a target and it's only a courtship for now but still, like you said,I'm little."
"You're magic. Reagan, you are an abomination!" He says joyed. His hands rest on my knees as he lets out a laugh. His black eyes actually seem to lighten up to a green. I let out a small gasp.
"Your wolf? You let him stay out so much without loss of control?" I whisper as his eyes finally settpe on green.
"It's an intimidation thing. People tend to be mire scared of darker looking people."
I smile in what kind of feels like awe. How come I've never thpugh about that? I look up into his green eyes as we both laugh.
"That's all it is!" Carl shouts as Archer walks from tree to tree.
"No you don't understand. Wen personally told me they are looking for this person. She's supposed to be a miracle," Archer says with a smile. It seem like he found some sort of hope or faith.
"An abomination."
"Carl, we've heard rumors of this pesk called the Prophet and now that we have this information you don't want to help," Archer groans throwing his hands up.
Carl grabs Archers head and turns it to some people. I see Victor, Wen, and me. Of course its us when we were younger before Wen and I wanted to be mates.
We are in the pool, me on Victors shoulders laughing. Wen is watching with a smile. "You have a family. Brothers and sister, who have friends. A pack. A responsibility. A liability."
"I can always step down."
"Archer! Listen to yourself. One day you will meet a girl and love her. You probably already know her," Carl says. A loud girly scream sounds through the area.
"Guys! Come on, I have to go to training soon," younger me whines.
"Loyal warriors like Victors little friend. Loyal Runts."
"Exactly. Too loyal for someone they don't hardly know."
I blink a few times before looking at Alpha Carl again. He has curiosity clearly platered on his face. "What did you see?"
"You and Archer knew for years about this man."
"What did you see?"
I tell him what I saw and clearly state who I was in the flashback. Carl does seem surprised to hear that. "You're loyal."
"I know I am. Will you help find Archer or not? I have to get back to the pack soon." I ask. Alpha Carl taps his chin in thought.
"Of course I will. Now keep a clear head and see you soon," he says walking me back to the elevator.
"Hopefully not too soon," I grumble. I catch himsmirking before the elevator door close. I let out a sigh.
This Prophet obviously knows things that I need to know. I shift before we run back to our pack lands. Once we arrive and dress I tell the people what I have found out.
David is waiting for me in Archers office. He looks completely relaxed. "May I help you?" I ask.
He smiles at me before closing his eyes again. "Good. You are back."
"I have a job to do, you know that," I mutter. He hust shrugs his shoulders before looking through Archers stuff. "What are you doing?"
"Just trying to get a feel of this boy. It seems as if he wants to marry my only child," he says.
"Why did you wait until I got back?"
"Didn't think about it then."
I roll my eyes at him before sitting down. David is a different kind of person. He is very spiritual and calm but yet outgoing. "This Alpha needs to know that-"
"He isn't even here."
"Oh let me dream, Child!" He shouts dramatically. I roll my eyes once again at my new found father.
"Oh Hell."
My head poke up at Davids sudden voice. His gas some sort of worry platered over his face. "What is it?" I ask.
"Archer can use the Chamicuro language. Around eight human soeakers and adapted Spanish. Higher ranked Alphas use it for secret messages. Hell, sometimes it is used to talk to demonic Assassins."
"I don't understand," I say dumbfounded at what he said.
"Archer has to be involved with foreign Alphas. You know like Russian, Swedish, Chinese, and so on. Major Alphas who get involved doing aweful crimes to protect their own packs. Sacrifice. Summons," he explains.
"Not Archer. He is so sweet. We don't have any sacrifices here and you are the only witch around so often."
"I'll be back after I have fully deciphered what it says!" He shouts before walking out. I lay my head back with a loud sigh.
I am tired of all this crap that I'm learning about Archer. These are things he should be able to tell me himself! It makes me feel, I guess, dirty.
