My Dearest Brennan

CH 5---- Don't lose hope

 Brennan's POV

It's been 2 days since That Annie-Jake incident that literally broke my heart. I haven't eaten and I even find it hard to sleep at night! It horrifies me how I may be like this forever, but I'm just gonna try and do my best. I have soccer practice today again so I'm getting ready. I took a shower and changed into my clothes. Like I said, I lost my appetite for two days now so I skipped breakfast. But of course mom wasn't gonna let it slip this time.

"Brennan, at least have an apple or something" Mom pleads handing me an apple

I gave her a fake smile and took the apple from her hand

"I love you sweetheart" Mom says hugging me

"I love you too" I say hugging her tightly

"Take care of yourself okay?" Mom says pulling away from our hug

"Okay, bye mom" I say walking out the door

As soon as I shut it, I let out a sigh out. No, I'm not eating! I cant and I wont. I have to be fit enough. I threw the apple to the ground where I knew that raccoon, dad hates so much, will eat it.

"Focus Brennan!" I say to my self

I decided to jog to soccer practice instead of using my car.

Shawn's POV

I arrived at practice seeing Brennan.

"Why are you all sweaty?" I ask Brennan

"Huh?" Brennan asks catching his breath

"Practice hasn't even started yet" I laugh

"I'm just jogging" Brennan adds

"You literally live 5 miles away from here! Are you out of your mind? You cant make yourself tired! Not now!" I rant

"Just leave me alone" Brennan says rolling his eyes playfully

Then Brennan looks at me. He paces back and forth and it seems like he wants to say something

"What? You look like a fucking idiot staring at me!" I shout at him

"I have to tell you something" Brennan whines

"Brennan, are you gay?" I ask in concern

"Hell no! I'm straight as fuck" Brennan snaps

We got silent then he hands me a hundred bucks.

"What's this for?" I ask

Brennan looks at me and back at the ground. My eyes widen and I get excited

"You like Annie!" I shout in excitement

"I don't like her. I'm in love with her" Brennan says quietly

Awww, Brennan finally made the right decision with his feelings. I smile at him as if I was saying I was very proud of him but he doesn't smile back

"But, that cant be it" Brennan says sadly

"Why?" I ask in concern

"She doesn't love me. She loves Jake, not me" Brennan says as he gets emotional

"Brennan, just because she loves Jake doesn't mean she doesn't love you" I say comforting Brennan

"How do you know that?" Brennan says

"Brennan, how could a girl not like you? You're pretty much chased by all of them! You're a fun, loving and amazing friend anyone could have" I smile
