A/N my hands are numb as I am typing this- softball practice got rained out and I can't move my thumbs very well... sorry for the mistakes!

I pushed my eyes open slowly. It was bright and hard to see, so I tried to shade my eyes with my hand... It didn't work. The bright light was coming from everywhere, so I couldn't block it by simply shading my eyes.

I let my eyes adjust by ever so slowly opening them... I couldn't tell how long it took, because something was messing with my perception of time... I don't know how I knew, but I felt it in my core.

I peered around... I was in a completely light plain. Was this... Death? Limbo? Questions plagued my mind.

Suddenly, I felt a hand in my shoulder. I spun and kept back, trying to propel myself using my wings but... They were gone! Ripped right off my back as if they'd never been there!

I screeched and turned, trying to find my wings on my back. They were absent, and in my panic I forgot all about the hand that'd been resting in my shoulder just moments ago.

You must be scared... Said a male voice about my age. He sounded like Oak, but with a certain wisdom that made the voice seem both old and young at the same time. But something else was odd about his voice...

I turned. He was handsome with blue hair and golden eyes. He had golden horns twisting out of his head and a thin, black, tail swished behind him. He looked like a demon.

I am not a demon! Shouted the being, obviously faking being hurt. H-how did he know I thought that?

We are in your mind right now, that's how. I can hear your thoughts. His voice resounded in my head, echoing somewhat.

Who are you? I thought at him. He gazed at me, not opening his mouth but speaking into my head.

I am Fennic, a Flamos. Or I used to be. I summoned too much fire at once and it consumed my body. I was sealed inside your swords. You are now bonded with me until the day you die. That will be the day that I too, will die. Fennic's voice suddenly sounded old, experienced. Like he was weary of this world.

But I will protect you. Even when we are not in your subconscious, I will be able to speak to you, just as you will be able to speak to me... He trailed off.

Are Amber and Cedar going through this too? I asked a quickly. Fennic's golden gaze swept over me.

Your companions? Probably. He answered. Fennic's head suddenly shot up, like he heard something. After listening for a few moments, Fennic clapped his hands together and waved one down over my eyes.

Wake now, Little Flame, and speak to your companion. He worries for you.

And darkness consumed me once more.

I woke on a bed. My bed. I was in my room... But who had moved me?

Probably that Camo guy. Said Fennic in my head. I stared at the ceiling, my hand hanging limply off the side of the bed.

I pushed myself up. My small room with grey walls greeted me. I slid my legs around and pushed up from the bed. My legs wobbled but I caught myself before I fell.

I lunged for the door and hoisted it opened. My wings fluttered behind me. They were back. A sigh escaped from my mouth. Thank goodness.

My swords scraped against the small of my back. They already felt familiar, even thought my swords had only been mine for a couple hours.

I feel the same way, like I've always belonged to you... Fennic quipped in my head. I rolled my eyes even though he probably couldn't see me.

Outside my room, Oak was pacing. As soon as he saw me, he sprinted to me and pulled me into a hug. He had a bow and quiver of arrows slung over his back. He must've just barely lost to Cedar.

"Oh my gosh you're all right!" He sighed and shouted at the same time. It came out as a squeak.

"Yup." I told him. He released me.

"You do know you were asleep for almost six hours, right?" Oak stared into my red eyes, his one green eye and one blue eye looking deeply into my soul. I shook my head. No, I did not know I was asleep for almost six hours. I felt Fennic laughing in the back of my head.

Man, he really loves you, huh? The startle of Fennic's sassy quip must've shown on my face, because Oak suddenly became concerned.

"What's up?" He asked me in a concerned manner.

"D-does your bow t-talk to you?" I asked, my voice raspy from sleeping with my mouth open. Oak paused, but then nodded.

I drew my swords and put them together in an "x" in front of me.

"What's it's name?" My voice quivered as I thought of Fennic, sealed inside of the swords.

"Her name is Cecilia..." Oak's brows became furrowed and he pulled the bow off his back. Probably speaking with Cecilia.

He touched the tip of his bow to my swords. I sudden light gleaned between us, and suddenly a female was standing besides Oak.

I looked around. Fennic was standing next to me, growling. Since Fennic was standing next to me, the person next to Oak must be Cecilia.

Cecilia was tall and slender. She had mint hair that complemented her misty blue eyes. She had spikes running all the way from the base of her next to a black tail on her back.

Fennic grabbed my shoulders and dragged me back, not listening to my protests.

"Stay away from her!" He shouted instead of speaking into my head. Oak looked at Cecilia worriedly.

"What's going on?" Shrieked a voice from behind the next corner. Amber sprinted out, both knives drawn.

A bright flash surrounded Amber, and suddenly a short female was standing next to her. Amber gasped.

"F-fera?" Amber looked as if she was going to faint. "Fera" had tan skin and short hair. It was shoulder length and as black as the night sky. Her eyes were red, and on the top of her head were two wolf ears. From her back, a grey wolf tail erupted from her skin just above the pelvis. Fera was short but well muscled, like a fighter.

What is going on? Was my last thought before a full on fight erupted.
