It's the weekday and 8:58 a.m.. I just couldn't get the mystery girl out of my head. She was so graceful in all ways possible. It was like she was real to the point that I could touch her.
I got up from bed with the fantasy of the dream still in my head. I grabbed some underwear and headed to the bathroom where I was met with a note that read, "Sorry kiddo, I used up all the hot water! I'll see you in a while! -you know who." The you know who who left the note was my older sister. 24 and still with me, my sister, and my parents in the house. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with a 24 year old still living with their parents it's just, kind of unusual?
I got a decently warm shower, put on my uniform, fixed up my hair to the non-gel look I prefer, and grabbed my satchel. Heading out without eating breakfast, my little sister (who is always on time) hands me a nice Granny Smith Apple on my way out.
"Haru, your apple! You really think I'll let you go without it?" saying with over confidence.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Thanks Rose." I replied.
I don't really need the apple because I usually grab breakfast early with my friends at the café near school. It is a nice gesture though. I'm walking and walking my way down pass the plaza and neighborhoods and I'm stopped by a loud voice shout, like always every single morning.
"Haru! Wait up, sorry I'm late again!" She shouts.
"You're always late Aika. It never gets old though." I quietly laugh.
"Well it's not my fault I have to do my hair every single morning."Aika smiles. We both laughed.
We have practically been the bestest of friends since the 2nd grade. It's been 9 years and we've been through thick and thin. She is the definition of trust and loyalty. The first time we met I was crying in front of the school and all drenched in water too because of heavy downfall. I was waiting for my parents to pick me up after school but they never did.
They are always at work in the office away from me and my siblings. My older sister is practically our only guardian. The only chance I would usually get to see my parents is when they pick me up.
Aika was there with a black umbrella in a navy blue trench coat as dry as the desert waddling around the school. She was eating a macaron looking down at the ground and humming Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by Mozart. When she saw me, she ran up to me and stopped. Eating away at her macaron she looked at me confused, like she was trying to solve a puzzle I had. Then Aika in any 7 year old girl voice said, "Macaron?" She then pulled out a crummy yellow lemon macaron out of her pocket and handed it to me. I wiped my tears away and looked shocked staring at the macaron not because it was just crummy and nearly destroyed, but because someone was actually there with me so I wasn't alone. I grabbed it and held it against my chest. I looked off into the distance confused as ever, why was she here? She sat down next to me putting the umbrella over the both of our heads. She was looking normal, like she was already comfortable with me. Aika still eating her macaron waited with me for an hour or so until my parents waited. We had never talked during that time span because we did just meet. The whole time she stared at something while eating but I had no idea what it was so I let it be.
My parents later arrived while they were on the phone in a black Mercedes Benz and I wasn't happy with them at all. I ran half way to the car furious but stopped to remember Aika was still there. I was nervous and just turned around slowly like a turtle step by step. I raised my hand, waved, and politely spoke, "Thank you, goodbye now." She replied tilting her head with a giant smile and a fast wave of goodbye. I ran the final half to the car and got in. My parents didn't speak just drove. I was glad I made a new friend that day.

"Hey I heard Itatchi can't make it today?" Aika asked.
"Not sure, is there anyway you can text him? I don't have my phone on me." I questioned.
"Um, yup sure" Aika exclaimed
"Great, thank you."
Itatchi is always doing some unusual stuff. He's a funny guy impressing girls with his jokes and his flattering compliments but he just can't get it right. I'm the complete opposite, with not being funny, not very girl needy. For someone who's so charming I don't get why he keeps getting dumped on?
Making our way to the café I ask, "So what did Itatchi say?"
"Erm, he replied and said to meet him at the café. He's already there with Hyun and Isamu." Aika said as she read the text.
"Okay, let us meet them there." I said.
Hyun and Isamu are the best dynamic duo when it comes to anything. Hyun is the guy with the smarts and Isamu is the girl willing to do anything with him. Hyun has always had a serious tone, never had much of a smile nor grin. Isamu is always willing to try new things just to get some entertainment from it. Isamu is one hell of a gal doing all the dirty work for Hyun, which makes me wonder what they plan to do next. Surprisingly they are not a couple.
We finally walked the 7 blocks down to the café. Looking through the window me and Aika notice Hyun being totally still while Isamu looks awfully over excited. Itatchi was bringing sandwiches and drinks from the counter looking like he needed a little help. While Itatchi is slowly making his way with the food to the table where we are supposed to sit, Aika and I walk in. We go over to help Itatchi and he is surprised! I mean he didn't expect us for another ten minutes I think, but oh well time flys by fast.
Instead of helping him out much, Aika grabs a cup of coffee and sandwich from the tray Itatchi was holding and sits down at the table. Still having 4 more of each; coffee and sandwiches I grabbed the sandwiches and left the coffee to Itatchi. Itatchi glanced at Aika, while she started to sit down, and didn't it disappointed in her. He then turned to me and nodded.
"Thanks Haru, I appreciate it." Said Itatchi.
"No problem, just doing what anyone would do except for Aika." I said and we laughed.
Aika turned around and screamed, "I heard my name! Haru I know it was you!"
"What? No..." Itatchi and I laughed for centuries. Aika on the other hand was just acting completely fine yet in wonder of what the hell we were talking about and why we said her name. She then continued to eat her sandwich and put her legs up on the chair showing the skin on her knees above the white socks of her uniform. Isamu was examining Hyun like he was a test subject, examining from top to bottom. We finally get to the table and typing on his laptop, fixing the glasses on his face, Hyun puts his hand out.
"Coffee now, please." Hyun said souless
"Jesus, Hyun why so serious?" Aika asks before getting her first sip of her coffee.
"Oh shush, Hyun is just focusing on his work so I can pass high school." Isamu responds defensively while looking at Hyun's face for an odd amount of time.
"Well, Isamu it sounds like you are very attatched to Hyun if you know what I'm saying. Hm?" Itatchi said while tapping his head with his index finger taunting Isamu. Hyun was still on his laptop drinking his coffee not minding Isamu until he heard me say, "You guys would be a perfect couple you know?"
Hyun spit his coffee out on the floor and kept staring down at the black and white tiles. Isamu blushed and started to squint her eyebrows together. Aika was banging the table with her fist and trying to hold her sandwich inside her mouth while giggling her ass off. Eventually she spit it all out on the table and laughed like a hyena. Itatchi and I sat down and we were giggling a little too.
"I mean Isamu if you do have feelings for him," I covered my mouth and took a sip of my coffee while smiling, "it is totally fine girl, we will respect that."
Hyun was still staring at the floor until he looked back up and flipped his hair. He wiped his face off with a napkin and continued to do the work of school matter of his laptop. Isamu started turning red. She flipped her hair back and started to make a pony tail looked down at the table and perked her lips. Like she was mumbling she groaned, "I mean he's a smart guy I would but," She then raised her voice and slammed her fist down on the table, "HE'S JUST A FRIEND AND IM JUST HERE TO SUPPORT HIM!"
She was so red like a tomato. We all went silent and so did the coffee shop. All that there was to hear were silverware clinging on plates and coffee being poured from the brewery.
Isamu patted her skirt off and sat down while throwing a tiny fit. Hyun blushed and put his hands through his hair fixing it and coughs to clear his voice. He fixed his tie and faced towards Isamu.
"Um, thank you, Isamu."
Isamu just sat there with her hands together in her lap, "Mhm."
We just sat there for five minutes, quiet. Everyone ate their sandwiches and drank their coffee. Aika stood up and grabbed her backpack. She grabbed my arm and dragged me off my chair while I was still eating. She started to walk towards the door and I grabbed my coffee and followed.
Like a leader she said, "Everyone up, we have school!"
Hyun smacked his laptop closed and put it in his bag with his coffee in his left hand. Isamu brung her sandwich, as well as her coffee, and grabbed her leather satchel. Itatchi grabbed his backpack and phone. Hyun and Isamu walk in a pair and Itatchi was fallen behind from all of us. We walked to school in a casual motion with the exception of Isamu trying to get on Hyun's back. We were all different people.
