Chapter 4: The Book of Star and The Great War

"I still can't believe that your daughter wanted to kill me and now she's one of us." August complains..
"August, situation always change." Ricardo said.
"Why don't you just quit mr. Christopher." Caitlyn said.
"Caitlyn, you can't say that." You don't even have permission to come here in the first place."..."and tell me honestly, how long have you been staying here in New York?" Ricardo confronted her.

Caitlyn stop and said "long enough to learn everything you're hiding from me"....Caitlyn then run off.
Ricardo just decided to not follow her, but August is the who follow her instead.

Caitlyn went straight to the ruins, but she was followed by August without her knowledge. August knows that she's hiding something so important, and he must find out what it is. It was a book, what she's been carying when she left the sanctum was a book with the symbol of star in it. August was surprised of what he saw. He kept his distance from her to see what she'll going to do with the book. Caitlyn is trembling and obviously unsure with what she's doing. She thaught that she could find information about what happened with her mother back when she was just five years old in the book of star. Her father kept it a secret, but she knows that her mother is still alive. In her memory her mother was dragged in the lake by a man with dark wings, but his father insisted that she was just seing things. Her father always told her that it was an accident that her mother got drawned, but she don't believe it.

"Stop it!" Agust said..."Your putting your life in danger."
She qickly close the book and hid it.
"You scared me...what are you doing here?" she replied
"You have the book of star...where did you get it?"
"What book are you talking about?" she answered
"Don't deny it. I saw you reading the book. Hand it over to me, for your safety."

Caitlyn pointed her gun at him, but she was trembling and cant hold it firmly. August knew that caitlyn can't pull the triger and these guns created by his father won't work against human.

"Shoot, Caitlyn...If you really hated me that much, go ahead and kill me" Agust said to her.

Caitlyn can't do anything,she just break down and cry. August watch her as she cried for several minutes then August sat beside her and she still cried and cried. When she started to calm herself down, Caitlyn started talking about her mother Angelique. She barely know anything about her, and the her last memory about her was really disturbing. For her that incident was the most painfull wound she ever had. August has been so quite the whole time as he also remembers her mother, then he stated talking...

"That book you have, killed my mother...She read the page where she accidentaly openned the seal of fire. She have a strong faith and the devil failed to consume her, but she was half burned and suffocated to death."
"Do you know a lot about this book?" Caitlyn ask him
"Not that much, I learned few things about that book through my father and fr. Peter." He answered....
"The devil him self wrote the book. A strong demon named Chrome wrote it when he broke his horn and revolt aginst Satan." August said.
"That's what fr. Peter told me" he added...and by the way, how did you get that book? it was sealed that only my father can read it.
"What are you talking about?I got this book when I was in South Carolina. They said that the church was burned down because of the war, but some said that it was caused by this book." Caitlyn said.

"Let me see the book."...August was surprised to learn that there is another book of star.."So it is posible that copies of this book was spread out in the entire world...We have to let the others know."
"I agree but,.."
"But? what?" August ask her
"I tried to kill you August, and I'm truly sorry about it."
"You haven't killed me right? and you saved me...it's dark now, we have to hurry..

On their way back to sanctum, a strong wind blows. A weird noise is coming near them. The noise sounds like a giant wing being flocked, not just one but hundreds. They scream like they're savags beast. Caitlyn fell in the ground and she can't move, and they are just right above them. They are pawns of hell, they have human form, they have wings and their skin are half burned. Their faces were completely burned by they still have mouth to devour humans. These creature are not allowed in earth, even hell don't allow them because what they do is to devour the flesh of those humans who are dumped in hell.

"What are the pawns doing here in earth?" August ask to him self
"Caitlyn, you must cover your eyes, what will happen next might burn them." he added

"I am August Christopher, hear my words...God who created the light to end the darkness. Thou light prevails."
He raised a coin with the symbol of the sun and dropped it in the ground. He draw the sign of cross in the ground using gun powder. The pawns were about to attact them and devour them....he whispered
"Light the earth with thou might"...open the seal of sun...
The cross made by gun powder lit up and it was so bright, it burned all the pawns, leaving nothing but ashes. August made another prayer to close the seal of the sun and the light disappeared. He help Caitlyn getting up and they head back to the sanctum. August still can't believe that pawns were able to get out from hell. He concluded that hell is declaring a war against heaven and mankind.

Meanwhile back in the sanctum. A big circle of fire sorrounded it, creeps and pawns are feasting. Innocent people are being devour, some are possesed and started killing others. Inside the sanctum everything freezes, aside from two men. Jonathan and the man on top of the babylons. The man was unnamed, and nobody ever seen him before. What he looked like now might be different from what he'll look like in later days. Jonathan feel fear and he always does, but the fear he felt now is somewhat different.

"Where is August Christopher?" he ask Jonathan
"I am mr. Christopher" he answered...He wondered why is this man is looking for his son.
"He's been getting in our way lately, and I have to end him."The man said to him.
"I'll never allow you to lay a fingger in my son..he agreely shouted and he run towards the man and he tries to stab him with knife, the man did not do anything but something blew everything away and him. Jonathan could barely move, and the man is moving close to him. He only hopes that this war will be over before his son comes back. He realized that he is facing satan himself, he knew that the only chance he have left was to make the holy sacrifice. He stood up, but the man stab him 7 times, he fell in the ground but he could still move his fingers. He is full of blood, he have to draw the seal that summon someone who could defeat satan. When satan is about to stab him with his spear, a sword was striked right through the devils heart, it lit up so bright and the land openned. The light pushed the devil and the ground consumed him. Jonathan could barely see what happened, only he could see that the man saved him had wings.

"You can rest now, Jonathan" he said to him
"Who are you?" he ask.
" My name...it's Gabriel...

On the other hand Ricardo was trying to get away, he took the underground tunnel. Jonathan prefers to stay as a decoy since he has more fighting experience than Ricardo. Ricardo took the book of star because it would be very dangerous if it will be handed over to the babylons. When he's about to reach the end of the tunnel, an explossion blew him away. August and Caitlyn saw what happened, it was so sudden and they haven't reacted right away. They both run towards him and tried to help him out.

"Papa!...Papa!.." Caithlyn shouted..."Help him August, please..."

It just so happened that they also choose to take the tunnel. They removed all the rubles that piled up on him. Ricardo is heavily breathing, wounded and could barely say anything.

"Doctor, where is father?" August ask him.
"He stay inside the sanctum, he let me scape, and there are other survivors too." "August we must go now, we have to survive." Ricardo said
"You go ahead, I have to rescue father." August said
"Wait, you can't go...it's too dangerous" Caitlyn stopped him
"Bring the doctor to a safe place and we'll meet up with you in 2 days." August instructed Caitlyn and the other survivors.
"We won't let you go August, you'll have to come with us" The other survivors told him.
"Just let me do this, if I have to lose my father, there'll be nothing left for me." He said.
"You can't stop him!" Caitlyn interfered...no matter how we try to, we can't stop him"...Just promise us August, that you'll come back to us, we'll wait in the ruins in 3 days. In the underground church."
"I'll be there." August told her

August run through the tunnel. He was so furious, he slaughtered every enemy he met along his way, he doesn't care if they're only being possesed, demons or human who supports the babylon society. The enemy have witness the fury of August Christopher, he became a beast himself to defeat demons. From that night on, the babylons feared the name August Christopher and his holy bullets.
