Greek Knowledge

I quickly dash to English class. I sprint through the crowded corridors, I arrive at my classroom door within minutes, afterall I'm the fastest in my school. I aprouch the door to my classroom when I'm suddenly shoved into the hard, cold wall.

"Oww" I say in slight pain. I look towards where I was pushed from to see, Stephanie. I stare at her, the longer I stare the more and more angey I get at her. She smirked evily at me, I notice that two girls were standing behind her, Sarah and Mary. I didn't mind Sarah or Mary, but I just hated Stephaine. She is mean to me for no reason.

"Hello, where you even listening to me?" Says Stephanie while flipping her hair behind her shoulder.

"No, because why would I bother to listen to whatever crap you have got to say" I say, my voice filling with anger.

"Well you better start respecting me you bitch" She says.

"Why should I? You don't deserve my respect let alone my attention" I say defensively.

"Yeah, because everyone knows that your just some freak that escaped a science lab while they were running tests on you, and you came here looking for friends, but that part obviously didn't happen, now did it?" Says Stephaine smirking. Now I know that isn't the best come back in the world or that I have dealt with way worse but...a tear did begin to appear in my eye but I instantly blinked it back.

"Geez Stef, you should go find someone else to annoy" says a famiar voice to my left, and standing by my side is James. I smile up at him with gratitude.

"Fine whatever, she is boring anyways" says Stephaine as she struts off with her two followers (cough cough the dark lord has returned) following behind her.

"You ok?" Asks James while putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah I'm fine" I say whilst moving away slightly to get his arm off of me, "you don't have to defend me ya'know" I say.

"Really well it seemed as though you needed help" Says James whilst smiling his cute smile.

"I'm not a damsel who needs saving alright" I say whilst crossing my arms.

"Ok ok, I will let you be killed by the ugly trolls" says James smirking at me. I laugh and smirk back.

The rest of class arrived shortly and class began. I took my seat next to Becca, one of my friends.

"Ok so today we will start our unit on Greek Gods, so before we begin does anyone know anything ag all about anything relating to the Greek Gods?" Asks my english teacher Mr Rivers.

My hand instantly shot up.

"Yes Primrose?" Says Mr Rivers.

"Ok well, I know the names and abilities of the 12 Greek Gods, the legend of Medusa, the legend of Odysseus, why Zeus and Hera got married, the Fates, general facts about the Gods, mystical creatures and I can read a bit of Greek" I finish, making sure I hadn't forgot anything.

"Exelent, can you name a few creatures?" Asks Mr Rivers, curiously.

"Sure, umm well there's, Centaurs which are half man half horse, Minotaurs which is like half man half bull, Sirens which are mermaids that lure sailors to their death with their singing or music, Dragons, Unicorns, Brownies, Hydra, Cerberus the 3 headed dog that guards the underworld, I know much more but I will stop there" I say slightly embarrassed.

"Oh well to be honest I only know a little bit about this topic but it's in rhe school criteria so maybe you can help me with some parts" says Mr Rivers.

"Of course" I say exitiedly as though I had just got my dream job. This is going to be the best term yet!
