That night, Bella could hardly sleep. She tossed and turned and even tried counting sheep, but nothing could bring sleep to her tormented soul. Every time she closed her eyes, her mind drifted back to the tragic day the knights returned with her father's cold, lifeless body. Her heart would ache as the image of the narrow, blood washed hole in his armour reminded her that her hero could no longer be there for her.
Alas, she could bear the pain no longer. As she rose from her bed, tears stung her already red eyes as a mixture of rage and sorrow clawed at the entrance of her mental cage, grasping for freedom.
Bella...who was now on her feet, reached out and grabbed her boots and her battle axe and sped out of her room. There was only one way to work off her stress, she had to vent all of her rage on one of the training dummies on the grounds.
As she walked over to the mounted stone training dummy her mind's eye created the image of the Demonic Archer, his crimson armour emanating fire. Her blood boiled within her and with a loud cry, she threw her axe at the stone man, imbedding it in its torso.
After this, she ran over to the dummy, landing a punch in the center of its face, the blow breaking the surface like glass. Blood trickled down the stone surface as the pain jolted up her arm fueling her rage, until she could not feel. As rage, like a fire burned the fringes of her soul, she viciously tore the axe from the stone man's torso and almost instantly decapitated it, but in her mind, she saw the Archer standing there, his gleaming red eyes taunting her, show that her attempts were futile.
Consumed by rage, Bella lunged at the now decapitated dummy, her only thought, the complete destruction of the dummy.
"Bella!! " a familiar voice called.
She instantly pivoted, her rage still boiling at its limit. The sight she beheld stopped her cold, it was her father, standing there, his gaze filled with love and tenderness. " Father, it can't be, you're dead!! ".
" I may be dead, but I will never abandon my little girl " he said, rapping his arms around her, enclosing her in his embrace. Tears stung her eyes as she put her head against his chest.
" How can you be here? " she asked, looking up at his face.
" My soul is tied to this kingdom, and to you, I am here to warn you about the quest you are prepping for... " he said, his voice deepening," You cannot trust anyone, not even not even Sir Edwin " he said a shadow of sadness taking charge of his expression.
" Father, what do I do then, how do I complete my quest? ". " Trust your heart, and remember that I will always love you " he said, as he began to fade from reality, kissing her on the forehead, leaving her there, alone.
Bella, now both physically and emotionally tired dragged herself to he quarters and fell into her bed and for the first time since her father's death, she slept peacefully.
