"You're getting defensive, something is wrong..."

"Right. 'Cause that's another unwritten law."

"Please tell me..." Jamie's voice was soft and pleading.

Ryker looked at her then kicked another rock off the edge. He stayed silent.

Jamie frowned, "I'm worried about you, Ryker..."

"Why?"

"Because you seem upset..."

Ryker shrugged. "Happens a lot, surprisingly."

"Are you okay..?"

"Yeah."

"Promise?"

He stayed quiet, kicking another rock.

"Ryker..."

He was silent for a while, just staring off into black space. "You know, you're lucky."

"H-Huh?"

"You're lucky. Very lucky."

"What do you mean? How so?"

"I mean, you have a family that seems to love you. Lucifer even does. He shows it at least. All he ever does is yells at me and tells me how not to act." Ryker laughed unhumorously.

"Yea; that seems to. Karma forgets I exist and Eden could care less if I died. Anyways, Lucifer cares about you, you know."

"Well Lucifer loves you. He couldn't care less about me. He doesn't even know I'm there most of the time. Until he starts yelling at me. The rest of the time he simply ignores me."

"He's worried about you too, Ryker."

"I doubt that."

"He is, believe me"

"Right. Okay, I believe you." Ryker said sarcastically.

Jamie frowned. "Is there any way I can prove it to you?"

"Nope." He kicked another rock, it flew farther than all the others.

"I'll be right back." Jamie ran off.

"Guess you are gonna do it anyways."

Jamie sighed and ran back to go get Brocifer.

Ryker picked up a rock and threw it very far away, it probably hit a bigger rock and shattered.

Nudge nudge. "Sir?"

Lucifer turned his head. "Yes, Jamie?"

Jamie frowned, "It seems that you're why Ryker is upset..."

"What?" Lucifer glanced at the others then stood up, pulling Jamie away.

Jamie nodded, seeming dismayed.

"Great. He's upset because of me." Luci looked Jamie in the eyes. "Am I a bad parent?"

Jamie nodded quietly, "it appears so, I'm sorry..."

Ryker appeared, he was sitting on a table. "Yes, you are fucking terrible."

Lucifer spun around. "Says the kid who's been in the foster system for most of his life. Do you even know what a dad is supposed to act like?"

"You clearly don't."

Jamie stepped back, "u-um..."

Lucifer sighed. "Listen-"

"No, you listen, Dad. I may not know what a dad is supposed to act like, but I sure as hell know it's not whatever the fuck you are doing."

Jamie vanishes.
